OWL Subject & Option(if available): Charms
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Date Night Diary
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques used, materials using, plan of action, expected timeline, etc.): The charm I am using is the Unbreakable Charm, which unfortunately we don't know what the incantation is, but it's a charm that makes an object unbreakable.

I'm going to make a Date Night Diary. This is going to be a decorated book box with date night prompts on ATCs. On the back of the date night prompts will be a journaling area for what happened on the date. All the journaling cards will be able to remain stored inside this book box, along with trinkets collected on various dates that might want to be saved, such as movie ticket stubs.

The date night diary relates to the Unbreakable Charm because by keeping the romance in my relationship, I'll create an unbreakable bond with my fiance. <3

I suspect this will take roughly 4 weeks to finish, possibly longer because we have Josh's kids every other week and on those weeks my crafting time is limited.

Ah ok. That does sound much more doable with having multiple themes to choose from. And maybe instead of just 3 themes, 3 movies/tv and 3 books? That way for people who don't read much wouldn't have the problem of having 3 book themes to choose from.

I think having a thread for each team would be really cool. It would help in each team member being able to encourage, offer suggestions or ideas without those posts being lost in the maze. I haven't been here long enough to really know how it works, but the swap thread style seems like it would be best for me. I could post with my team, but also have a gallery to see everyone's work from the other teams too.

Everyone's projects look amazing! I might be stalking a few of you later to find out more about your techniques.

Congrats Pinkleo on your moderator position! All these amazing craftalong ideas you come up with, it's no wonder they made you moderator of this forum. You deserve it!

I would be interested in joining. How long would you give to complete the project? My only fear is that I would be required to make a game for a book I've never read and wouldn't have enough time to research the book/movie/whatever and then make the game. Would you be keeping this in mind and trying to pair people with similar interests or factor that into the length of time to complete the game?

But it does sound really fun! I was actually looking up board game pieces on Amazon the other night because I was thinking of wanting to make a board game but didn't have any inspiration to start one.

I saw something similar to this at a craft show a few years ago but yours is much cuter than any of those. I love the beaded handle. Thanks for sharing.

Those are cute themes! I'm sure they will sell well because you did a fantastic job on this one.

Thanks so much for the tip. I will have to remember that whenever I get around to making some of these myself. Maybe around Christmas lol.

I saw something similar to this on pinterest and have plans to make it some time in the future, but I like your version with the colored rice instead of plain sand much better.

How did you layer the rice and items inside the bottle? How full is the bottle? It's hard to see in the picture, but it looks like maybe it's not quite filled to the top so that it can be shaken?
