1  Daisy Snake-Charmer from Knitty in Knitting: Completed Projects by Scully153 on: July 02, 2006 11:56:11 AM
Hi everyone!

I haven't posted onthis board in ages, but I learned how to knit a few months ago and I'm now addicted to making baby sweaters for all my friends who have babies.
So, I thought I would share my latest creation - the Daisy Snake Charmer sweater. I got the pattern from Knitty.com, and used acrylic yarn that I already had.

I also discovered in the process that those snakes are pretty quick to knit, and the 2 "practice snakes" I made turned out to be great cat toys

2  Skirt and Yoga Mat bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Scully153 on: September 25, 2004 02:58:18 AM
I wasn't sure if I should post this here on in the clothes section, but since I'm more proud of the bag, the bag section won Smiley

So here are my latest - made out of a large piece I had of cotton fabric intended for children's curtains, which you can see below.
apparently nobody wants dark curtains in the child's room, so this was on sale.

I found the pattern for the Yoga mat bag here on craftster (but changed the way the strap is attached and made it out of the same fabric), and the skirt is a simple a-line, no pattern..

Comments are welcome!

Closeup of fabric (a bit blurry, but it shows the real colors)

3  Re:Marble Magnets and Tack Pins... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Scully153 on: January 27, 2004 03:33:21 PM

I'm new here, I have been lurking for quite a while, but I wanted to wait until I get a digital camera and actually be able to post some pictures before I de-lurk myself..
and guess what? I did!  Grin

I wanted to share some of my marble magnets, which I can't get enough of.. this is a brilliant idea, and for the last month I've been giving them as birthday, housewarming, "get-well-soon" and "sorry-I-forgot-to-feed-your-cat" gifts..

Anyhow, here are some of my magnets - I used old catalogues I had lying around here, and plain ol' hot glue, which works just great!
