Thank you so much for the link to the tutorial! It is so thorough and well written and, hooray for pictures!
Am busy spinning strips one handed while I resort to hunting & pecking LOL!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Inchies...over? on: February 27, 2013 10:20:57 AM
Hello, today I joined Craftster! Hooray.
It's quite inspiring to be surrounded by so much talent and creativity. I put an intro on that board and mentioned that it was the INCHIES that brought me back here and finally got me creating again but I am not seeing much about them on recent posts.
Were they a fad that has come and gone, or am I just not looking in the right places?
BTW is THIS:  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) the right category for this question?

And please forgive this newbie but I could use a bit of advice about when to start a new topic with regard to hijacking another persons topic of the same title. I saw a topic that said "My first Inchies" is it wrong to post about your own first inchies within that topic? (after first commenting on the original post of course) or is that where you SHOULD post it so there aren't four million topics of first inchies?

Thank you for your patience and help and info!

Those earrings are just lovely! Your are so right about the colors.
I'm going to be digging around looking for shapes to fill as quilling circles was one of my stress relievers at a past job. Now a way to use them up AND declutter my stash!
Again, wonderful earrings!
5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Re: Picture of cat included in introduction on: February 27, 2013 09:23:36 AM
Your cat is very handsome!
Here is how to add a photo to your profile. (as near as I can tell)
Click on My Craftster on the yellow bar running across middle of the page.
blue boxes drop down, Click on My Profile
On the left under Modify Profile is Forum Profile Info, click on that and that is where you can add the photo and more information.
Hope you have fun on Craftster!
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Inchie + Therapy photo link on: February 27, 2013 09:09:07 AM
Wednesday is anti-procrastination day if you follow Flylady (which I am pretending to) so I FINALLY got registered on Craftster, even though it was my plan to lurk around for a bit longer....
The other impetus was I thankfully got sucked into inchies yesterday.
I have been suffering some burnout in a lot of areas of my life lately and despite having set "Creativity Goals" I haven't been able to feel inspired about anything (regardless of a craft-room full of beads, papers/photos, fabric and HALLOWEEN STUFF). But then I saw Inchies on Pinterest, came over here and they were the therapy I needed. I don't think there is an easier way to ease back into creating than with a one inch square with no final intention in mind! Baby steps! Cheesy
Craftster IS the best therapy (yes, cheaper too!). So many wonderful and inspirational ideas floating around. Give me some time and I may just be able to contribute!
My other attempts to get re-involved in the world are:
43 Things-http://www.43things.com/person/lovijo#team_16921111_16917638
30 Days of Lists starting March 2013

As far as crafts go, I'm all over the place. Have done a bit of quilt making, scrapbooking, paper clay/fimo, beading, tie dying and lots of Halloween themed projects.
Hope your day brings you lots of creative joy! Good luck to us all!
