For those of you who have made (or are making) the Men's Cashmere Scarf, how does the WS look?

I took some quick pictures for you with my camera phone -

I think this would be considered the "wrong" side, but I like it a lot.

And the "right" side - more nubbly, but also the side that's curling in.

If you do this scarf, I'd recommend a garter or seed stitch border for sure!

Hey! I really like yours! I just finished one fingerless mitt today too. (the second is on the needles)

I dyed the yarn with kool aid, and the pattern is from knitty.com - the Voodoo Wristwarmers (but shorter because I don't know if I dyed enough yarn to do the full length. Wink

I designed my own illusion scarf - it's for my Boston-Bruins-obsessed husband...

Here's the illusion:

It's now about 3 feet long, with stripes throughout - the illusion will appear at each end. I can't wait to finish it (it's taking forever).

The umbilical cord hat! I used Patons Canadiana - what the pattern called for. It's a dusky rose (the picture doesn't quite do the color justice) and it's a present for my sister-in-law's baby shower. I plan to make a few more for my 3 month old niece and 3 month old first-cousin-once-removed-in-law too. Smiley It went really fast and I did the entire thing on dpns. The last few stitches slid around a lot, but I think that just means I need shorter dpns. Wink

There's a really cute pattern in the knitting zine Slave to the Needles as well. It can be ordered from www.panderzinedistro.com (I think it's out of stock at the moment, hopefully she'll get more in - it's an AWESOME knitting zine). I just made one:

It was knit entirely in the round (I haven't yet gotten good at mattress stitch) I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but it bells outward slightly at the bottom - the pattern says this is so you can wear it with your "punk ass boots." Now I have to make a second one. Wink

6  Hi I'm new here - and here's a picture! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by marlatiara on: January 28, 2004 07:12:02 AM
I've been lurking for a bit and just wanted to chime in. Here's the kittyville hat (from kittyville.com and the Stitch and Bitch book) that I just finished. I made it entirely on size 7 dpns with purple wool from elann.com and I'm just so proud of it! It's my first in the round project!

I also attempted to make the Fraggle Rock/Happy Hat but it was a bit too fluffy for me. (And homespun was such a pain to work with! But it was definitely good practice.) For now I'm just going to keep it without the tassels:

OK I think I'll go back to lurking. I *love* seeing everyone's projects! Next up for me is a set of legwarmers from the zine Slave to the Needles and a Harry Potter scarf for my little brother.
