1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Orange Velvet Turtleneck with Cuffs on: November 18, 2015 11:24:35 AM
12/2014 issue of burdastyle magazine is one of my favorites. I have made 4 models already and I plan to make almost all. This is pattern 114 and it's very cute in my opinion I love the gathered sleeves with the cuffs and the seaming, very feminine shape. I wanted a top more loose than the model to wear over leggings, so I added some more ease below the bust area and added a band to finish the bottom. As I wasnt sure about the result, I used an orange velvet fabric I had in my stash for years but didnt like it that much. I think it matched very nicely with the pattern and I will wear it a lot.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Yellow top with collar on: May 26, 2015 10:31:17 AM
For this I used knit fabric and one of my favorite and most used burda patterns 09/2012/106. I modified the neckline and added a collar made of a rectangle piece of fabric. I like the result very much and I hope you like it too Smiley

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Olive Green Dress on: March 07, 2015 04:15:36 PM
Hi, this is my trial version of the Burdastyle Piped Seamed Dress 03/2015/118. This pattern is so cute and flattering! I used a thin and drapey fabric I had in my stash for years. I think the result is nice and plan to wear it a lot. I plan to make a second fuchsia version fo the summer!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Red jersey top on: February 22, 2015 01:55:33 PM
Hi, this my new favorite top and I hope you like it as much as I do. The pattern burdastyle  Draped Long Sleeve Top 09/2014 #112. I used jersey for this model instead of the suggested  muslin  because I wanted something for everyday use. I lengthened the bodice although I am petite because I have a long torso and the model is for short ladies. The top is more flattering in reality than in the photos as it has a beautiful movement. Another plus of this model is that it can be worn as a cardigan as well. I'm very happy that I gave this pattern a try Smiley

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Little black dress with faux leather on: August 25, 2014 02:55:07 PM
Hi! This is a really old pattern its burdastyle magazine model 12-2004-107. I loved the dramatic neckline of this model when I saw it in the magazine in 2004 and I wanted to sew it. I traced size 34 but never made it. Last September I traced it again, in size 38 and now I finally made it. Im not quite satisfied of the result because the dress is a little shapeless but I do love the neckline!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Orange X Wrap Dress on: June 19, 2014 01:47:05 AM
This is X Wrap Dress from burda 04/2014, it's a very interesting and unique pattern and I like the dress very much. What do you think

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / White pleated dress on: June 11, 2014 11:56:56 AM
This is model 101 from Burda 6-2009. The magazine suggested jersey but I hadnt so I used  a woven fabric with a lot of stretch and I think it came out great, what do you think?

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral Dress with A-line Skirt on: June 05, 2014 07:30:02 AM
This from burda issue 5-2011. I used a cotton blend with a bit of stretch.  I didn't want to interrupt the large print so I skipped the back seam.  I also skpped the zipper because of the elasticity of the fabric. The whole dress took me about 2-3 hours of sewing and 1m of fabric Smiley I plan to wear it a lot this summer.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pink dress with bow on: June 03, 2014 03:26:32 AM
Hi, this is model 107 from burda 11/2007. I had used many times the skirt of this pattern but this time was the first to use the bodice, which is interesting due to the unusual bust darts. I added an XXL drapped bow using the instructions found in the 10/2013 burda issue. I think the result is cute and I hope it is not very childish for my age:) I plan to wear the dress with the bow a couple of times and then remove it and replace it with a black necklace as shown at the pictures. What do you think?

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Matthew Williamson Dress on: May 31, 2014 04:54:08 PM
This is Matthew Williamson Dress from burda 9/2012. Its the second time I use this pattern and sure I will use it again-these large pockets are simply irresistible Smiley
