11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Giving Tree Shirt Creation on: July 15, 2006 06:52:08 PM
That's a beautiful shirt and The Giving Tree is a wonderful story. I always cried extra hard because when I was little I was convinced I was related to trees (my last name is Wood).
12  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: What do YOU use Vaseline for? on: July 06, 2006 04:46:26 PM
I had a pair of boots that would not stop squeaking whenever I walked (it made being a ninja very, very difficult  Angry) and rubbing some Vaseline where it creased when I arched my foot made it stop being so squeaky. Now I'm the best ninja in the land!

Okay, maybe not the land...more like just my neighborhood. Embarrassed

Oh, also I use a tiiiiny bit to tame my wild eyebrows. I blame my mother for them. Whenever I wake up it's just ghastly.
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: What's the point of a prom dress if you get uninvited... ( on: May 20, 2006 09:44:02 PM
That's a gorgeous dress! That boy is completely and utterly a fool for uninviting you.

I myself have never been to prom (I'm a sophomore too) but a lot of my friends and relatives all agree that it's very overrated. My brother is at his girlfriend's prom and the only reason they're both going is because her parents want them to.

Reading all the replies in this thread has given me the warm fuzzies inside. Such support is why I love Craftster.  Cheesy
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Harry Potter replica props (4 photos) on: April 15, 2006 06:15:57 AM
Thanks!  The World Cup program was only seen for about a second or two in the film from what I can remember, but I saw the screen used version on the website posted at the top of this thread and I knew I just had to do one.  Grin
Here is what I came up with for the inside pages.  They really had pages in the program, but they were never shown on screen.  I used references from "Quidditch Through The Ages" and "Harry Potter Goblet Of Fire" books for the text and the ads.
BTW, if anyone is a geek like me and collects Harry potter or Lord of the Rings, or any other non-sports cards, this is a great site to chat about them- http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/forum/index.php

Pages of key players from both teams:

OH wow, I would never of had the patience to actually make inside pages! I bow to your awesomeness!
15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: resistor tiara on: April 05, 2006 05:51:33 PM
Oh, that is so cute. I'd never take it off, even when people start to question your sanity about wearing a tiara all the time, just pout and say, "I'm princess, DAMN IT!"
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Latest Day of the Dead Shrine (img hvy) on: March 31, 2006 05:47:58 PM
The little grinning skull is so cute.

Oh, hell, the whole thing is cute/awesome.
17  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Loreal Colour Rays on: March 31, 2006 05:44:03 PM

That's when I used Colour Rays Fuscia on my entire head (well, only the outer layers of hair, really). I had the same color hair you're describing - medium to dark brown. It lasted a pretty long time for me, from July to September. It faded to a light pink and the only reason I dyed over it with black was because I had horrible roots.

I used the wand and had my mother help me, it's much easier with two people. The wand was very useful, just make sure you get plenty on it.

And that's when I did streaks a few months before (around April).
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: It's a ferret...no it's a rabbit...no it's a Grumpy Toad on: February 22, 2006 03:49:29 AM
We're watching Rocky in my film class and I must say that your Toad is much cuter than Sylvester Stallone. I doubt Sylvester could pull off bunny ears like that.  Cheesy
19  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: February 20, 2006 11:35:35 AM
Here's my tattoo. . . I got it in San Jose last Friday.... woot!

I also have TX and a yellow rose on my back, but its crappy and I'm going to cover it.

I'm not that big a fan of Inuyasha, but damn, that's a really cute tattoo of Kirara.
20  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Michael's vs JoAnn's vs AC Moore on: February 12, 2006 11:04:22 AM
I have four craft stores close to my home : A.C. Moore (Good for ribbon and cheap t-shirts), Ben Franklins (ours has a HUGE supply of paints and frames), Hancock Fabrics (good for...fabric), and a Hobby Lobby (good for everything else). Out of all four I probably prefer Hobby Lobby because I don't sew as much as I used to and I love buying beads in bulk.

Oh, also a Walmart but most people do have a Walmart (or TWO) near them.
