1  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by karmic on: December 08, 2006 03:44:47 PM
I haven't posted in this thread in a loooong time, but here's what my hair looks like currently after I grew out my mohawk for about 3 months, dyed it black, grew it out some more, cut all of the black off, and dyed it an orangey-red color.  Grin

And just for fun, here's a picture of my brother and his fantastic hair. Look at it! There's so much of it!

2  Portraits of Johnny Depp, Joe Strummer, Thom Yorke, and my brother. in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by karmic on: August 05, 2006 11:08:52 PM
All of these drawings I did in my 10th grade Art II class. The pictures were taken by my art teacher so I can't guarantee they're of the best quality.

The pictures go from the very first one I did (Johnny Depp) to the last (Joe Strummer). You can obviously tell I became more comfortable with the medium as I went along (I'm more used to computer-oriented art).

Sadly, my art teacher lost my portrait of Thom Yorke at the end of the year.  Undecided

Johnny Depp, from a picture I found in a magazine. In real life it's pretty big, around 14 x 11.

A portrait of my older brother, Jon. The lips look strange because in the picture I based it off of he had the weirdest look on his face. Like he ate something sour.  Cheesy Before doing this, I never realized what a meaty neck he has.

My favorite and the one my teacher lost.  Embarrassed Thom Yorke from Radiohead. Shading all of the dark spots was a bitch.

Joe Strummer. This is the last one I did, I finished it sometime around October. I don't like the shading on his left cheek, I'll try to fix it later. My pencils are different than the ones I used in class and you can tell if I make a mark with a different pencil.

I have another I did in my spare time of Trent Reznor but I can't seem to find it. I also have a half-finished one of John Lennon but I don't think I'll continue working on it because it isn't all that good.

3  Re: Loreal Colour Rays in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by karmic on: March 31, 2006 05:44:03 PM

That's when I used Colour Rays Fuscia on my entire head (well, only the outer layers of hair, really). I had the same color hair you're describing - medium to dark brown. It lasted a pretty long time for me, from July to September. It faded to a light pink and the only reason I dyed over it with black was because I had horrible roots.

I used the wand and had my mother help me, it's much easier with two people. The wand was very useful, just make sure you get plenty on it.

And that's when I did streaks a few months before (around April).

Don't mind the frightened look. I had bit my lip at the time the photo was taken and, well, that sort of hurt.

My hair is rather tame compared to everyone elses's.

Jack E. Ohhh, I love your steps. A friend of mine has steps but those were entirely by accident.  Tongue Silly guy didn't listen to the woman cutting his hair when she told him to keep still while she was shaving his sideburns.

Ha, that's awesome.

Recently, I've re-dyed my hair pink (last Sunday) and cut it (two weeks ago) so...taa daa!

(Photobucket is being weird so I'm gonna have to use TinyPic...)

Me looking so very angsty. I have no idea why I look angst-ridden but I suppose it might have something to do with the fact that the bathroom reeked like a mother.

It's Cousin Its sister!

Flashing my gang symbol. All the girls with pink hair, representin'!

Back shot. It looks like I have a ball of light in my hands. Ooh. Magical.  Cheesy

My hair about...I dunno, 2 months ago. I used that Color Rays stuff and it worked wonderfully on my dark hair (the picture makes my hair look lighter - it's actually a really dark brown). It's no longer that long - I cut it myself a few weeks ago because I live in the South and during the summer it sucks to have long thick hair.

(Don't mind my cheeks - I was doing my pufferfish impression whilst my mum took the pic)
