Class: Astronomy
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Halloween Dice Bag
Project Description: After failing art in 3rd grade because I couldn't crochet, it took me decades to muster up the desire to try again. After that, it took me some time to get decent at it, and then the crocodile stitch kicked by butt, but I finally figured that out, too. I made the House Unity Bag (further down) and then made this wee black and orange version for my Smart Doll
Project Pic/s:

Class: DaDA
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mini Resin Pond
Project Description: I'm still learning a lot about resin, and have much more to learn, but I had a lot of fun making this wee pond.
Project Pic/s:

Class: Divination
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Whimsical Chest
Project Description: Our library is having a Witches and Wizards Tea, and they're giving this chest filled with HP books as a prize for (I think) best hat. It was plain brown, but I convinced the children's librarian to let me take it home and fancy it up. I also lined it with felt to help protect the books.
Project Pic/s:

Class: HoM
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: House Unity Bag
Project Description: I found a pack of HP playing cards on sale and crocheted this House Unity Dragonscale bag to put them in. I'm adding it to the prize chest. Smiley
Project Pic/s:

Class: Muggle Studies
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Chudley Cannons Potholder
Project Description: This makes a great thing for grabbing hot dishes out of Muggle ovens. Also doubles as a trivet and a dishcloth!
Project Pic/s:

Class: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mini Green Dice Bag
Project Description: So after making the orange and black bag, I thought I might be able to make an even smaller one. I bought a wee little hook and used the kind of crochet thread (or maybe embroidery thread?) that comes wound in a big ball. The wee bag is maybe 2/3 the size of the black and orange one.

Challenge: WHomping Willow
House: Hufflepufff
Project Name: Boob Sweater
Project Description: I'm not sure if this would be hard for other people, but wow, I frogged this SO MANY TIMES that I nearly gave up. In the end, though, I forced myself to do it again. Oddly enough, I'm now punishing myself by making a second. Because apparently I hate myself, LOL! I just keep telling myself that I'm getting ALL my money's worth out of the yarn. And I'm really happy with how it came out. Smiley

I have a Q about the FLOO challenge. Can it be an item for a doll to wear? Or does it need to be for a person?

Thanks, everyone! It's been so good to be able to make stuff again!

Wow! EdelC that box is FANTASTIC! Love the bowtruckle, too. He made me giggle. Smiley And your paintings are fab! I love the glitter addition to the roses! Cheesy

MJ your clay pieces are making me want to play with clay again! So lovely! And the wreath is super cool! I've got a Gringott's Key that was super cheap from AliExpress, and it's brassy, but I want it to be shiny gold. Do you think rub n buff would work? I've never used it before.
The peach BBQ sauce sounds amazing!

Aaaaand 2 more from me!

Class: Apparition
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Ruffled Witchy Skirt
Project Description: For this one, I used a sizeable chunk of the remains of a shirt I bought at Salvation Army. The first chunk was used to make my dd's Tiny Tina Cosply last year, then more was used to make the corset I posted earlier. As I was staring at the remains, I thought what a good skirt could be made. The neckline was already a great waistband, and I had just enough to make this skirt. I ticghtly bonded the hem with a lovely long ruffle made from cream fabric.

Class: Arithmancy
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Beer Garden Peasant Top
Project Description: I took this free pattern and reduced the medium size to 33% to make this top.

Hello all you wonderfully creative people! August turned into a WHIRLWIND of craziness for me, but I finally got a chance to make something!

Challenge/Class: Headmistress DETENTION Challenge - Stash Challenge
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Pink School Skirt for Smart Doll
Project Description: If this skirt looks familiar, it's because I made the same one but smaller about a year ago. Now that I have a Smart Doll, I had to make her one, too, using more of the same fabric from my stash. Velcro and thread also from my stash.
Project Pic:

Class: Herbology
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mini Booty Shorts
Project Description: While studying the shrivelfig, I learned to make some super tiny exercise shorts for Mirai!
Project Pic: (Not sure if booty one might offend some, so I'm trying to make it clickable to hide it. I can't tell if it worked, though, because I can see it, but that may be because I posted it?)

Challenge: Quidditch Round 3 - Goal!
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Cookie Witch Hat
Project Description: I love Fall, and Hallowe'en, and I cookies, so I made this hat to celebrate all 3! Mirai-chan seems to really like wearing it, too!
Project Pics:

Challenge/Class: Quidditch Round 3 - Half Time
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Watercolour Fantasy Planets
Project Description: I was asked to do a space-themed bulletin board for our library, and wanted to come up with a way to make it interactive. I made a bunch of fantastical planets to correspond with genres such as Western, Fantasy, Horror, Dystopian, Mystery, etc. and people can put a pushpin in the planet or planets they visit the most. I can try to get a better picture later. I didn't think to take any pics until it was up, and then there was a patron using the self-check station and I didn't want to take a total creeper picture, lol! The planets are all watercoloured, which is a total departure of medium for me!

Challenge/Class: Quidditch - Round Three - Time Out
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Pumpkin Spice Latte Jelly Pie
Project Description: Top Layer is 1 can pumpkin puree with about 2 t pumpkin pie spice, 1 t cardamom and 4 T sugar, as well as 1/3 c water and 1 packet (~2.5 t) kanten (agar-agar), cooked until bubbly. Next time I would just boil the water and Kanten, then stir in the pumpkin mixture. This is poured into a springform pan and allowed to sit while 2nd layer is made. 2nd layer is 1 can sweetened condensed milk, about 1/3 c water and 1 packet kanten, cooked until bubbly and poured over pumpkin layer in the pan. I put this in the fridge while I made the 3rd layer, but next time I would not, because it cooled too much and the coffee layer didn't stick as well as it should have. 3rd layer is a mug of brewed coffee, with water added to make 500 ml, boiled with a packet of kanten and poured over the milk layer. Chill and enjoy!

Challenge/Class: Quidditch Round 3 - Catch the Snitch!
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Sushi Chair for YoSD
Project Description: I took a Dollar Tree phone rest chair, removed the pineapple fabric, and took it apart to make a pattern, then cut pieces from cute sushi fabric to make a cute chair!

More fun on the Quidditch Pitch!

Challenge: Quidditch Round 2 - Seeker, Hufflepuff challenge Q is for Quick
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Fluffy Furry Beanbag Chair!
Project Description: This one went quite quickly in spite of it being impossible to see the stitches. I just had to crochet it by feel, but I LOVE the result. I used Lion brand yarn's Go For Faux yarn for this little beanbag chair for my YoSd sized dolls.

Wow! I went to my mom's to help her out for about 2 weeks, and the amazing projects here have EXPLODED!!  Here's my first Quidditch submission:

Challenge: Quidditch - Lap around the Pitch
House: HUFFLEPUFF
Project Name: A Round of Ramen
Project Description: As I was going round and round the pitch, I began to work up an appetite and was inspired to make these tiny, round bowls of ramen. The noodles, green onions, carrot bits and egg halves are all polymer clay, and they are set in a resin broth. Smiley The marble is for scale.

Class: Sprectrespecs CHallenge
S.P.E.W.: Local Library (if applicable)
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Faux Glassine Bags batch #2
Project Description: Another batch of bags for my library class. This is a free class I've volunteered to teach, and I'll be giving these to participants, but I completely understand if that isn't S.P.E.W.-worthy. I just wanted to note the info in case it is. These are made from another washed and dried cereal bag that I've cut up and sewn into pockets to use in altered books. I also made some from a real glassine bag from a purchase, upcycling 1 bag that would be trash, into 3 bags that are treasure! Cheesy

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Floral Blythe Dress
Project Description:This took LOTS of careful work (and ripping out and rework) because it's so tiny. I'm super happy with the result, though!

I'm all for doing whatever makes it JOYFUL for all. If the work has become a burden, then streamline away! Cheesy

Here comes my project dump. I made a few other things that I'll see if I can contort into fitting a class, lol, but this is enough to be getting on with. :-P

Project Pic:

Project Pic:

Class: Charms

Project Pic:

Class: Detention in the Dungeons April
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: Library Altered Book Class (these will be given to students in a free class I'm teaching in Aug. If the HMs feel that doesn't fit S.P.E.W. I am totally fine with that.)
Project Name: Upcycled Pockets for Altered Books
Project Description: I washed and dried some cereal bags and cut them up to sew into these faux glassine envelopes. I made them for my students to have in an Altered Book class (well, 2 classes) I'll be teaching at the local library in August. They're shown here with Artist's biz cards from a con I went to, so that they show up a little better.
Project Pic:

Class: Detention in the Dungeons - May
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Sweet Sweater for a Special Pudding
S.P.E.W: For the Children of Pine Ridge
Project Description: I started this when my dd was pregnant. Sadly, she miscarried at about 10 weeks, and I just kind of stalled out on it at that point, but I decided to finish it up. I'm donating it to Pine Ridge because it's a little too painful to keep.
Project Pic:

Class: Divination
House: Hufflepuff

Wow, everyone is doing such amazing things!! I've made a lot of things lately, but I can only find one prompt that fits right now, LOL!

Challenge: Headmistress Challenge - Goblet of Fire
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Fluffy Blythe Dress
Project Description: I saw on Instagram that there was going to be a Blythe sewalong, and after sitting on the idea for a few days, I jumped in. I'm so glad I did, because the pattern has some great mini-sewing techniques that I will definitely be using in the future. I was unsure whether my Blythe has the Pure Neemo reg or small body (patt is for small) but I learned that she has regular, because look at how short this is LMAO! I'm going to make her some bike shorts to go underneath, and next time it will be easy enough to make a longer skirt. I modded the patt a little by using only one row of lace on the sleeves, leaving off the collar, and adding a tulle underskirt. LOVE the pattern, and will be using it in many different ways, I'm sure!
