1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Essentials for a little mummy on: January 30, 2012 06:30:06 AM
What a wonderful set of accessories. You are such a good auntie.

Thank you! My oldest niece really appreciates it and she is really interested in the process as well, she has even decided that she will get my sewing machine when I get too old to use it  Wink Grin I might need to think up a little project to do together with her when she comes here again  Smiley
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Essentials for a little mummy on: January 29, 2012 05:57:56 AM
After years of lurking here, I decided to post some pictures of a few finished projects of mine. I like to craft gifts for my two nieces (now 4,5 and 3 years old) and especially the older one is a real mummy. She has a gazillion dolls which all have to be nursed, changed, fed etc. She even left a doll at my place so I wouldn't be home alone (and it would mean there would always be a doll at my place for her to play with ofcourse Wink)
Over time I have made a few diaper bags and other essentials as you can see in the pictures below...

Diaper bag with elastic side pocket for bottle, few inside pockets, matching changing pad & set of diaper wipes (instructions how to the latter can be found here. The bag itself I made by combining several tutorials and some common sense  Wink

Another set of diaper wipes (two nieces, two sets  Grin)

Bassinet I made for the doll mentioned earlier, so now she has a bed to sleep in at my place  Grin I used the tutorial found on the same website as the diaper wipes instructions as inspiration, but tweaked the design to meet my needs. My niece helped me with a little demonstration on how to carry the bassinet  Wink

Anyways, hope you like them.. Any comments are always appreciated  Smiley
Thanks for watching!

Wow, really nice! I wish I could make things like that (I don't have a kindle, but my phone would sure like a similar cover  Wink)

Since I just registered today, I thought I'd post something here Smiley
I'm Sietske, live in Tilburg (moving to Oisterwijk in a few weeks) and I'm mostly into crafting clothing and stuff. Luckily we have a relatively big market with mostly fabrics here in Tilburg on wednesdays, do I can find fabrics fairly easy. And around the corner there's a sewing machine shop which sells some "fournituren" as well, so if I forget to buy a zipper at the market I can always get one on another day  Grin

And I agree, pipoos is way to expensive  Shocked

ps, woohoo! my first post  Cool
