Not insulting anybodies sewing skills or anything, but in my experience, it's nice to have someone who will answer your questions...

I think the blue/gray coat would be great for fall/spring in a wooly material...

I don't think the pattern would work, so I think I'll just try to draft it out myself.

After recently watching the Lemony Snicket Movie and being amazed by Violette's coat...


a wonderful blue/gray affair...

and seeing a pattern such as the one below...


and thinking... perhaps, if I made the sleeves long and slightly billow-y and extended the length of the dress and changed the front a bit...

have decided, whenever the pattern shows up, that I'd love to make a Violette-esque fall/spring coat.

anyone interested in... sewing along?
