wow, thats amazing, when i was in high school i dont think anything like that would have been dared to be done! im so glad that in high school now they are trying to make it something thats OK, maybe that will helpget rid of suicides of gays/lesbians that are younger who arent appreciaited, and called names.

when i was in high school the KKK pulled up on their white horses and was trying to recruit people.. this was my senior year, what a lovely town we live in!

my old high school was on that three wishes show..

i think those are like the coolest (and not so cool things) that happened when i was in high school

It is amazing. We're not even remotely supported by the administration. I love it. I live in really conservative NH, so it's a big thing, getting to hang out with kids that just don't care.

Thank you for your support!

Try googling GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) or GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network)

I'm not sure how to help... I know there are tutorials for ruching (the front of the bodice) on craftster, as well as a tutorial for a GL dress.

Just a note, though.

I noticed that these dresses are still images on someone elses server. Could you please move them to photobucket or your own server so you don't kill someone elses bandwith? Thanks!

SAGA is, at my school, the version of Gay Straight Alliance. We meet every couple of weeks and discuss ways in which we can make our school a better place for everyone, try to increase 'gay awareness', offer support to each other and to new members of the group.  We go to classes and have discussions (yelling matches), partcipate in days/weeks (Day of Silence, National Coming out Day, Transgender Memorial Week).

It's a great thing. I love it... a lot. We've got about fifteen regulars and more people come in on a meeting basis.

Ha ha ha - I thought it was a lesbianism thing!!!  Cheesy

Nope! It's funny that you thought it was, though.  I'd love to hear ideas, as long as none of them are too dirty!

It was me! I'm so glad that you liked everything! This swap really creates some swap anxiety when you mail.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you so much! I love it all! I can't wait to go to SAGA and show off my laptop sleeve!

I just got home from a Key Club Convention and am so ridiculously sick that I shake when I get up. Anyways.

I got home, and I looked on the counter and... there was a package for me! From... I'm not sure. But my Crafty Detective sure found me out!

First off, she sent me a backpack, with information about her local saga. (SAGA, or Straight and Gay Alliance, is one of my favorite things. I love crafting about it, reading about it, talking about it...)

And, she sent me a cool little corset bank (because I make corsets!) and stitch markers, so I won't have to use my elastics anymore. They say cool stuff like vegan, Katie, SAGA...

She sent me a pointy hat... yay! I tried to get a mirror shot, but I just looked drugged, so...

And... a laptop case! It fits my laptop perfectly! and it has a rainbow lining!

Thank you so much, you mysterious crafter!

50  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: how do you let a muggle down nicely when they ask you to knit something? on: March 30, 2006 03:05:08 AM
Well, I've decided next time someone asks me to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, or turn straw into gold, I will ask for their first-born child....       Grin

Hurrah for Rumpelstiltskin! The first to stand up for his crafting rights!

Thats a good idea but what would you do with a firstborn child?

Trade it for more yarn?

Score! Could you do that, do you think?
