Love the new apron; one can never have too many.

Never! Grin And I'm planning on sewing one for my husband for when he's grilling. I just have to find a fabric that he likes.

Thanks everyone Kiss

Mel, CLM: don't worry, I do have some Insul-Brite. I just don't have any batting, which the Insul-Brite says to use along with it. I thought I had some flannel that I could substitute (by layering it) but I can't find it. I may have given it to my mom or sister.

Mmm, hand pies sound really good right now. :d

CLM, I still need some wall art. Hubs keeps being waffle-y about what he wants me to do for our decor. Roll Eyes First he says he doesn't care, then he says "We could do geeky. Or you could do funny stuff." But no "offensively funny": I wanted to make us a "Welcome" mat that would have "F*** OFF" on it instead.

My internet is being squirrelly so I've lost what I had typed Angry

Basically, beautiful work, everyone.

Bonus Points: WIP it
Project Name: Skulls and roses apron
Project Link: Here
I had this cut out for about two weeks before I finally got around to sewing it! Tongue It looks much nicer on but I couldn't get my hubby to take a pic for me.

I love cooking and baking and I love aprons.
But you wouldn't know it if you visited: I have one apron that craftylittlemonkey gifted me when she sent me goodies for my sprog (if you're reading this CLM, thanks again! Kiss).
So I decided I needed to make myself another apron and set about finding a pattern. I found this one on Craftsy that only uses one yard of fabric to make a simple apron. I didn't put a pocket on it because I didn't feel like fussy cutting Tongue Also, I made a loop for the top instead of ties for around the neck. I hate aprons that tie around the neck.

I hope to update with a photo of me wearing it, if I can get my hubs to take a pic for me.
As soon as I get myself some cotton batting, I'm going to make a matching pair of oven mitts, as well as a pair of oven mitts to match the apron CLM gave me.

Finally got around to sewing myself an apron! Cheesy I'm going to make mitts to match, just as soon as I get some cotton batting (I can't find the flannel I had; I may have given it to my mom).

The print is from JoAnn's and seems to be no longer available Sad (I mention this because I had a friend ask about the print when I found it and showed her.)

Thanks Smiley I'll have to remember the parchment paper, CLM. I just have to pick some up when we go shopping again.

I made some more of this bread yesterday for dinner. Hubs took the second loaf with him to work and says it was a hit. And a coworker went home on her lunch break and brought back a pair of small loaf pans for him to give me. She told him they were extras Cheesy

kbrison, you would have been welcome for garlic bread and spaghetti. I still have half a loaf leftover. I'm trying to find a good recipe for homemade wheat sandwich bread but most of them seem to be made for bread machines. Tongue

CLM, it's "hot as balls", as my husband puts it, here, too. But I just really wanted some homemade bread so I waited til later in the evening when the sun was starting to go down before I started baking. The house smelled wonderful but it did heat it up a bit. Nothing turning off the lights and turning the ceiling fan on didn't fix though Smiley

MistressT, I LOVE that purse. It's very cute!
