This is the coolest WIP I have:

It's going to be Mortal Kombat's Sheeva. She's one of my favorite female fighting game characters of all time. She still needs quite a bit of work but I'm working on some collab dolls right now.

The second coolest WIP would have to be my dragon lady (who is also a collab doll).

Other cool WIP I have:

I recolored a DC Superhero Girls Supergirl doll's head to match Deuce Gorgon's body. It's going to eventually become Vega, a villain from the Street Fighter franchise.

Wryly, you are amazing for beading those tiny shoes Shocked

Chaos, your dolls' new faces are beautiful! I can't wait to see them finished *eager dance*

CLM, your embroidered greenery is nice! I need to do something to liven up my living room. The walls are still bare Tongue

My dragon lady has a face now:

I have got to save up for a proper set of Derwent color pencils because her beautiful green eyes are only ONE layer! Sadly, the set of Derwent pencils I want is expensive so it will be a long wait Tongue For her eye whites and the outline of her eyes, I used Pan Pastel. To get the precise lines, I used the silicone end of a sculpting tool and dabbed a small amount of pastel on it then drew on the doll's face. It was a challenge to keep the lines neat, but it looks great and took less layers than watercolor pencils alone would have taken! Her eyebrows need another layer (and maybe a touch of brown pencil) but other than that and her eyelashes, her face is complete. She even has red "polish" on her claws (it's barely visible on her hand there). Next up is her dress, which will be a vibrant red qi pao.

I love that little tea cozy, CLM. I'd love to have a proper tea pot so that I could make a cute cozy for it but I don't know anyone else who drinks hot tea (iced tea is the Southern way Roll Eyes)

Gilda is definitely a cutie. I wish she had gotten more than one doll because she's hard to find Tongue
Here is a side-by-side of a factory Gilda and my golden dragon Gilda:

I also painted the green hair on Jinafire's tail to match the gold of her hair but it's drying from where I sprayed the last layer of MSC on it. The gold hair I used here is Midas Touch from The Doll Planet on Etsy.

Eventually I hope to post some complete projects but for now, have this lovely lady and her new head of hair:

I'm not sure how many hours it took to reroot her hair but I know it was at least 5. Rerooting takes a long time but it's so satisfying to do. If I can find one of her "sisters" I can show you her original hair color, skin tone, and horn color: I gave her a makeover to match a different doll's skin tone.

EDIT: I found one of my other Gilda dolls and took a pic to show a side-by-side comparison:

Dragon Gilda (I haven't got a proper name for her yet) has 3 layers of Rich Gold Pan Pastel on her head to make her a closer match to Jinafire Long's body. She also has a layer of Bronze and Light Gold Pan Pastels on her horns to make them lighter and more shimmery. I also painted the green hair on Jinafire's tail gold to match the hair (Midas Touch from The Doll Planet on Etsy) but it's not pictured because it's currently drying.

Been working on a bit of doll stuff lately. My most recent thing was rerooting this doll's head, which also received a skin tone change to match a different doll's body:

This lady is going to fall under Big Time when she's done.

He is so neat and organized. Shocked It's so nice that you're helping him channel his creativity into what makes him happy. So many people tell their kids to stop playing with toys when they reach their teens. Toys are fun. Why stop?
And I, too, would like to hire his services. I'll pay him in Bionicles if he likes Grin
