51  Re: Record bowls, easiest gift ever! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Aunt Suzi on: September 08, 2005 10:07:32 AM
Here are a couple I made.  I found I needed to have the oven temperature at least at 275 and leave it in there quite a while--15 minutes, maybe--to get it soft enough to really get the shape I wanted.  No idea what to do with them since they're not food-safe or heat-safe.  Something will turn up....

52  Trogdor napkin ring! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Aunt Suzi on: September 08, 2005 09:41:05 AM
I made some napkin rings out of Sculpey last week.

The best idea was Trogdor. (If you're not familiar with this man--I mean dragon-man--I mean, he was just a dragon--see here: http://homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html)  I didn't get all the details quite right--got the consummate v's, but not the majesty--so consider it an *interpretation*.

Also made some less exciting rings (my boyfriend made the pepper one):

The idea is that we like to use cloth napkins for a few days at a time (until they get dirty)--being all ecological and all--and so the napkin rings keep them tidy between meals.  And then we decided to make them hangable on hooks to keep them out of the way:

Any ideas for more designs?  Kind of lost inspiration after Trogdor.
