I love this! I want one! Awesome!

So many exclamation points in one line of text but WOW!!!! Love it love it love it!!!!!!!!

I think it is wicked as is, but if you fancy yellow french knots then go for it! Or how about trying some on a scrap bit of green and pinning it on, just so you can see if it is lost/ or overkill!!!!

I really really want this!!!

Great job!

WOO WOO wOO WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I finally received Morvens FABULOUS angel package from the wonderful fairy godmother that is Retro_Rose!!!!! It had a round the world trip from Canada to England via NEW ZEALAND!!!!! Grin  Gotta love the postal system!!!!!!!1 Wink

I gave the package to Morven to open...

He was SO excited! bouncing around, it is the first time he has ever had anything addressed to him! The fact it was a parcel made it that much better!  Smiley

Open... note how it was QUICKLY discovered that the cute pouch contained chocolate coins, and look we learnt something.. 'Loonies'! How cool!  Cheesy the coins were promptly emptied into the box and on the floor while exploring the rest, after sampling a few of course!  Tongue

showing the FAB cork board to display his postcard collection from his uncle (who is in the forces) and the pouch (refilled with the loonies!)

.......And finally the beautiful turtle (to match the cork board and  turtle ornaments) pegs and 'washing line' to show off his art on! note the chocolate moustache! on a VERY happy boy!!!!!!!!  Grin

Thank you SO SO SO SO SO SO much Retro_Rose! He/we LOVE everything, esp that we have CAN, NZ and UK postmarks now  Wink

You have been a fab angel, and made my first swap fab! Love ya!!!! Kiss

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: COWS 8 Gallery! on: May 22, 2009 11:48:43 AM

I am posting the pics of the goodies I made for Unjugetito, I sent them in April and have not heard anything so thought i would go ahead and post pics!!!!!! Unjugetito requested Aprons for her 4 kiddies so....

Apron for youngest girl

Apron for eldest girl

Both with the contrasting fabric pockets!

Unjugetito said that one of her boys has to have pockets on EVERYTHING hence the pockets on aprons...

Both boys aprons....

All the goodies together... inc 6 cadburys creme eggs- an English staple for Easter  Tongue, 4 craft kits and a few photo cards of the area where we live, on Dartmoor.....AND she said her Son LOVES Bob the builder so I sent a pack of gluten free Bob the Builder pasta shapes Tongue  hehehehe

And finally all packed into the box...

I really hope they arrive/d safely at their new home!  Huh

Thanks for reading.... going to post pics of my angel package next....

6  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Heath Ledger Joker costume for my 4 1/2 year old! on: April 20, 2009 12:29:22 PM
Hi all!

Wanted to share the Joker costume I made for my little boy for his first ever fancy dress party! It was his friends 5th birthday and the theme was 'Superheroes'  Cool
well me being me and not wanting Morven to get lost in the sea of store bought, all in one, nylon Batman/Superman/Spiderman/Power Ranger......etc  Cry I took the theme and ran with it, I thought why not a superhero villain?Huh? And what better villain than the Joker???

Obviously Morven has not seen 'The Dark Knight' and nor have any of the other kiddies at the party, so he has no idea how scary it could be, he just loved getting dressed up and having make-up done and helping a 5 year old Batman round up all the girls at the party  Grin

I made the jacket, a VERY altered Vegbee 'fairweather jacket', with a collar instead of a hood, no pockets, no belt, no panelling in the front... But still looked awesome, and only took 40 mins!!!!!!  Grin The waitcoat (aka Vest???) was completely winged, but very very simple, and looked the part! And of course I did hair and make-up! Morven absolutely loved that bit, and sat very still, holding a mirror watching everything I did, then even put up with me putting gunk in his hair for that mandatory greasiness!!! WAS SOOOOOOOOOO much fun!

To complete the outfit, a short sleeve shirt (models own,  Grin) and a 99p pair of (girls!!!! Shocked) purple skinnies from ebay! WOO Cool

We had SO MANY comments on how cool/excellent/wicked/awesome etc Morven looked, and lots of people asking where I found such a cool costume, they were shocked I had made it! So we had a very happy/excited/hyper 4 year old and a very happy Mummy! (and an even happier Daddy as was in a pub garden!!!!!  Grin)

OK onto pics..... please excuse the crappy cell phone pics!  Embarrassed

Why so serious???

Whole outfit

Finished make up!

A final one just to prove he was happy-- just looks better looking sulky lol!

Would love to read any comments/criticisms or questions!

Thanks fo reading, Auri

8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Childrens Ongoing Wish Swap Round 8 (COWS 8) on: March 26, 2009 06:46:20 AM
I claim unjugetito for aprons for her 4 kiddies!  Grin

This is my first claim, 0 sent, 0 recieved.

Hi, I am Mummy to a 4.5 year old Boy. We live in Devon, UK, and have a cat, a dog, fish.... and a Husband!  Grin

DS has long hair, and like Unjugetito we are always on the look out for hair accessories that are not glittery/pink/floral!  pic of him here!

We are a pagan family, and seem to swap between hippy and goth styles lol DS is the same!

Again, we dont do guns/violent/army themed stuff and also no character stuff - generic characters are fine but no Bob the Builder/ Thomas etc,  We don't have a TV so most of that is lost on him!

He loves acorns, trees, ponies & unicorns (!!!!!), is OBSESSED by anything Wizard of Oz and Wicked- especially Elphaba and Glinda,  airplanes, trains, hats, anything he can wear! dolls, knights and dragons, travel stuff, bags.... anything really!

his favourite colour is pink... but as everyone thinks he is a girl anyway we steer clear of it! He seems to like
every colour, from brights to naturals.... He is very easy to please!

We would love to recieve anything, maybe something traditional for your hometown if not in UK, he loves postcards and has a wall of them from his uncle who is in the air force.

Suprise us!

Am so looking forward to this. It is my first ever swap!  Cool

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My take on Vegbee's Fair weather jacket for my little boy! on: February 22, 2009 01:56:57 PM
Hi all!!!

This is my first EVER thread!  Shocked

I Totally fell in Love with Vegbee's fair weather jacket, and have really enjoyed seeing everyone Else's fantastic versions- you are all so talented! I love how the same pattern in different hands has created such a diversity of jackets!

I ordered my pattern from Vegbee's etsy store http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20717394 and it arrived in under a week here in the UK! I was so impressed with her service, she is so lovely! ((((hugs Vegbee)))))

Well yesterday I made my first jacket (as in first jacket of any kind!)

I altered the pattern slightly in that I added the belt on the lining as well so it is fully reversible, with buttons sewn on double so you can do it up easily either way!

Now for the pics..... I hope this works.....

Front of side 1..... (Airplane and hibiscus cotton print, with red cord detail)

Back of side 1....

Front of side 2.... (red cord, with the airplane cotton print detail)

Back of side 2....

AND>>>>>>>>>>>>>ACTION SHOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, and I couldn't work out how to rotate! 1st time doing anything with pics online, so lots of 1sts for me today  Grin

Well my little man adores the coat which makes me one very happy Mummy   Wink

Thanks for looking! And I would love to read any comments/criticism etc, but be kind.... my first post lol
