Totally off-topic and all... i mean, the dress is awesome, always better to be a DIY goth than a store-bought goth, I always say... but anyway, your avatar is super-hot, and i was wondering where the image is from?   Embarrassed yes, i'm a dork...

hahah, my friend found it on deviant art and thought it was me so he sent  it to me. Its not me btw! I'd totally love to findo ut who it was done by so i could buy the print!!!

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Guy-Style t-shirt recons?? on: October 05, 2005 08:29:02 PM
what about frankensteining them - cut up a bunch of shirts and piece them back together but use pieces from other shirts. I would stack a few shirts and cut them all at once - maybe...
I dunno if it would work...

Omg thats awesome! Thanks!

Anyone else??
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Things to Make from Your Mum's Bathrobe ::contains a pic of my bum in knicke on: October 05, 2005 08:28:09 PM
hahaha!  i don't even want to know why you thought of making panties.  i can just see you walking around with the full ensemble.  ha!

and also, i'm kind of upset that you guys get such a good word for undies.  knickers is so much better than panties.  i can't even say panties without a hint of disdain in my voice.

p.s.  what does a jewish dog look like?  hahaha.

i hate calling them panties. it seems so porno, and guys seem to always call them panties. makes me laugh coz it sounds so lame. They're my knickers dammit! lol

Well the jewish dog hat looke dlike those little domed-skullcaps i guess jewish people wear ((from what i've seen on tv anyway! >.<)) and the ears were massive and stood up like an alsation's ears.
16  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: Gadriel from Constantine on: October 05, 2005 05:56:07 PM
I'll be posting pictures as soon as I find my camera...I finished the top in about three hours last weekend.  I bought a set of Hanes tank tops from Kmart for $8 and ruched the sidesof the white one with some thin elastic, was maybe 1 cm across, then I had another plain white tshirt that I cut up for the harness.  The shirt was too big so I took an example from the general style of her clothes and cut and laced up the back. Then to ensure that it stayed in place I attatched it to the tank with hot glue.

can't wait to see it!!!!! Grin
17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need help with the gist of a wrap-round-ish simple skirt on: October 05, 2005 05:50:58 PM
right, so the idea is you get a  rectangle of fabric and with a press-stud you wrap the rectangle around you, press-stud it where it should meet and let the rest ruffle down the front ((or back or side or wheverev u want it to be done up)). I was just wondering if anyone else has seen a skirt like this at all and if it's a  little more complicated than i think it is?? My little friend Lucabelle has one and i told her it was  anice skirt and she showed me how iot did up and stuff, but we were at a party, alcohol, glowsticks and my boyfriend got in the way so i missed it and got distratced... anyone can help??

woah you guys are fast! It took me like six kittyhats from scrappy fabric before i made one that fit well and the ears the right size! The other ones ranged from a jewish-dog to a massive anime thing.

So My mum gave me her pink semi-fluffy bathrobe she had had when she gave birth to me and then again to my sister ((21 years ago!!))((geez, thats a long time..)) Anyway I had this bathrobe for ages. Sometimes i'd wear it for the use it was intended for - as a bathrobe, but other times i'd wear it as a pianting smock (( a really strange bright one)) and then one day i decided i wanted to cut it up. I made a hooded cropped jacket out of it ((using the original sleeves)), a kitty hat and some semi-fluffy knickers!

although i am unsure why i am pinker than my hat in the first pic.... The pics colours are a little out. the pink of the material should be similar to the pink font beside it:)
20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: The Ugly Organ, recreated on my butt on: October 05, 2005 05:33:13 PM
wowee, thats hot! i thought it was going to be an actual organ. like the body kind and i was wondering what the ugliest organ was. I came up with a testicle ((does that count as an organ)) and the liver... actually, all organs are ugly eh... slimy..
