1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / French Knot Color Wheel Necklace on: October 22, 2015 06:58:59 PM

A while back I made a 3" hoop with a french knot color wheel. I made a smaller version to fit inside a Dandelyne necklace. I love how it turned out.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Rainbow Sashiko! on: August 27, 2015 08:23:44 PM

I had this sashiko kit for months before I finally tried it out. I couldn't resist making it rainbow-y.

I LOVED sashiko, I found it so soothing. I have another kit to do now! I can't decide what I should do with this one though, I might make it into a pouch.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Triangle Pouches! on: August 27, 2015 08:17:56 PM

I made these for a swap I did awhile back and I love how they turned out. The pattern was a little intimidating but ended up being a lot easier than I expected.

I'm kind of addicted to scrappy rainbow patchwork.  Grin
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Paper Pieced Bee Hexagon Pouch on: August 27, 2015 08:09:04 PM

I made a foundation paper pieced bee and made it into a hexagon pouch. The zipper is a little wonky because it meets at a corner, but generally it was pretty successful. I really love foundation paper piecing, there are so many fun patterns!
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding Cross Stitches on: April 20, 2015 09:41:29 PM

A few months ago I saw a Kickstarter campaign to make a Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding museum in a Brooklyn apartment. I threw them $5 and jokingly tweeted asking if they were taking submissions. She sent me a message back and said they definitely wanted some cross stitches. My husband designed them and I got to stitching.

They started out as a joke but quickly turned into the most glorious thing I've ever made.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Rainbow iPhone Case! on: March 04, 2015 07:17:33 PM

I finally finished a cross stitch iPhone case! I had one for my iPhone 5S and then I got an iPhone 6 and had to make a new one.

So I went for a rainbow!
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitchng with LEDs! on: September 03, 2014 09:50:59 PM

I tried my hand at cross stitching LEDs. I stitched up Saturn for it and used the LEDs as stars. It was a fun experiment but they were a lot more difficult to use than I expected!
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitched Name Hoops on: July 10, 2014 07:02:05 PM

I made these for my friend's children. I am currently obsessed with water soluble canvas, I love being able to cross stitch onto any fabric!

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / French Knot Color Wheel on: June 20, 2014 09:43:29 PM

I made a color wheel out of French knots. I am kind of in love with them now.

I blogged about it here http://hugsarefun.com/french-knot-color-wheel/
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Solar System Cross Stitch Hoop on: June 09, 2014 11:55:39 AM
I made this for a swap, the theme was "places" and I decided that the solar system counted!

I stitched it on a subtly printed black cotton fabric and used water soluble canvas. It's my new favorite thing, it's amazing! I want to stitch everything on it!
