Sos, it be September 19th, makin' it Talk Like A Pirate Day.

What Pirate Related things have you ever made, or want to make?

I am Currently knitting "We Call Them Pirates" from Hello Yarn

Anyone knows anything good and Piratey? Even if it was a sword made from a tube of wrapping paper (what? Me? Noo!! I never did that...>__>)

Look! My first felted project!! *dances*

Too dark to see the pretty blue-ness....

Look! You can see my penguin pyjamas in the backgound!!

Before Felting....

As you can tell by the picture quality, I just couldn't wait to share it. What ya think? Isn't the yarn beautiful!?!?
13  Ohio / Ohio: Central / For all Columbus Folks on: September 08, 2006 10:35:57 PM
I'm planning on starting a crafting group. Anyone interested? The plan is that we'll meet once or twice a week at either my house or the Whitehall library.
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First official Project Post!! **PHOTO FAT** on: September 01, 2006 07:57:13 PM
Yeah, please do be kind. This is my first true project post...

It's the Skull Illusion Scarf! It's intended for my Boy, but I think I want it.

Camera shook. Dang it.

Crappy quality pic of me rawkin' the scarf.

Check it!! The awesomeness of the illusion!!

Again, modling the awesome scarf.

OW! TOO BRIGHT!! But yeah, it hangs nicely at my hips. The length is fan-fucking-tastic!!

This is the first official knitting project completed for the school year. I think I may wear it the first few days of school before passing it on to the boy. I still need to block it anyways, that'll be my excuse to keep it for a while...>__>;;

What do ya think?
15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What craft makes you happy? on: July 20, 2006 09:06:09 PM
What crafts, projects, or patterns make you happy when you're feeling down? Share them! Who knows who it could help when they're feeling down?

My favourite thing to do is knit socks or decoupaging everything that doesn't move.
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / In A Crafting Funk on: July 14, 2006 02:11:36 PM
I'm in a bit of a crafting funk and I don't know what to do. I'm normally an avid knitter, though I've never actually completed any project (my attention span is too short) the most I've ever finished was a little baggie for someone to carry their stuff in a pocket without everything going everywhere. I've tried sewing something, but I'm just too depressed to have the motivation.

I've tried crocheting but that just ends up in tears because I really want to finish this blanket that I've been making for the boy that dumped me at the beginning of the week. His birthday is coming up and I really want to give it to him anyways.

I've tried baking, but my stomach hurts too much, I havn't eaten anything for a few days now.

My medications have been checked and they're alright. Bi-Poler and getting dumped, along with the death of a friend and my sister moving out of state....So many horrible things, any ideas on how to distract me?
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Mens Patterns? on: July 07, 2006 07:57:12 PM
So, it's summer and I start now on all my chirstmas/yule knitting for the wonderful men in my life I call my best friends. Anyone know of any good "guy" patterns other than the wonderful ones that knitty has to offer?
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Manly blanket? on: July 03, 2006 11:23:56 PM
There I was, crocheting happily while in the company of the boyfriend and his friends when he asked the one question that made me fall in love with him all over again "Koishi, would you make me a blanket for my new apartment?". My excitement couldn't be contained and I ended up tackling him with a hug...

Anyways, onto my question, any ideas on a nice blanket I can make? Every pattern I showed him wasn't "manly" enough...he doesn't want anything too lacy looking.... Roll Eyes

Thanks for any form of help!
19  Ohio / Ohio: Central / 4th of July in Columbus? on: June 28, 2006 08:11:57 PM
Anyone want to get a craft group together for the 4th of July? We can figure a place to get together and chill for fireworks somewhere. We could bring food, blankets to sit on and our travel bags for our crafts.  Cheesy It'd be fun and such and I'm really looking for some folks to chill with since I have no friends that craft and they look at me like I'm crazy when I offer to teach them something. Anyways, if you're interested please let me know!! Please!?
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting For Karma on: May 16, 2006 06:07:58 PM
Hey all!! I'm just here to shamelessly promote my newest project I call Knitting For Karma (Find out about it all here: Http://Knitting4Karma.blogspot.com). The basic idea is I'm trying to gain good karma and reach enlightenment through knitting. I think supplying free knitted goods to others is the way to do it. So please support me and order a hat, scarf or socks? I only have limited colours right now, but I'll be getting more soon as I get more demands! This is a whole thing for me and I'm trying to get it up and running.

Thanks! ^__^
