1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Miniature Doily on: August 16, 2009 12:14:12 PM
Sewing thread + size 10 hook = hand cramp Smiley

The pattern should normally give a doily 9.5 inches in diameter, but mine turned out to be around 4 inches.  I hope it's small enough for a dollhouse tablecloth.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Miniature Tea House/ Folly on: June 07, 2007 02:02:51 AM
I've been itching to build minis but haven't gotten to in a while.  So to ease the sorrow of idle hands, here's to a little dusting of an old project:

Balsa, Xacto knife, glue, and a little bit of rice paper.  That's it, nothing fancy.  Oh, and I'm a sucker for inlaid wood/marquetry, so the wall pattern comes from a bunch of balsa slivers assembled together.  Tis my favorite part of the house.  Cheesy  The ridiculous stairs I don't worry too much over; for now let's just say they're intentionally discouraging unwanted guests.
(I apologize for the unprofessional pics.)

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Totoro on a bead loom on: May 29, 2007 02:27:36 PM
Howdy.  For a quick, stashbusting pastime, a little charted fun gives us this:

I made this for my sis, who adores Totoro.  I'm not as big a fan but liked the idea of using up the leftover beads for someone else's obsession.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Miniature Rug on: May 13, 2007 04:20:36 PM
Hello.  This is my first post in this topic.

Ladies and Gentlement, I give you...a rug:

I'm saving the fringe-trimming for a minihousewarming party once I build [at least some of] a miniature house/dollhouse I've been doodling for years.

Till then, this rug will live on a chaotic CD rack:

I have a couple more rugs in progress right now. Better get to it while my eyesight and fingers last...

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Simple Laptop Sleeve on: May 09, 2007 01:49:24 PM
Not much, but something improvised with leftover acrylic:

Now that I think about it, this thing might be protecting my purse lining more than the laptop...

I'm thinking of using the same colors for a scarf someday.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Noro Scarf on: May 06, 2007 03:09:58 PM
If you have two or three Noro lying around, give this a go  Cheesy
It goes quickly and doesn't look too bad.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Flower Petal Shawl from Elann on: May 04, 2007 04:54:38 PM
Here she is, in my very own dumb model look:

The yarn is 5-6 skeins of LionBrand WoolEase.  I know, I know, it may be no substitute for alpaca, but these skeins were refugees from an overcrowded stash closet.
See it bloom with more photos on my blog Smiley
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Charlotte's Web Shawl on: May 03, 2007 10:54:32 PM
Yes, I like blue.

Come on over to my fledgling blog for more details  Cheesy
