2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mo' tee recons on: March 27, 2005 11:48:07 PM
Peace and blessings,
So here are some of my summer pieces
this was once a big white Tee that  I dyed yellow  and  restyled with  an elastic empire waist & a wide ruffle on the top. There are some fabric and lace patches details sewed on to the ruffle, gold satin ribbon straps and there is a yellow acrylic  croshay flower detail as well.

this is another Tee recon that I Bleached out and restyled with  some  tiger print  spandex and a wide zigzag Sequin belt. There are some flowers blurry  details sewed on the front (sorry guys I have  a shytty digi cam....I  made those  out of the Tee remiants) and  the  back is low cut with a D-ring  closure at the nape.

1 luv and happy veiwing,
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Me and Mr ruffler have a thing going On! on: March 27, 2005 10:32:32 PM
Peace  and blessing Everybody,
I recently got this  accessory  for my sewing Machine and what a wonderful tool it is...... I went crazy ruffling up scrap ends of fabric that i had  around  the house and came up  with this
This cute, Multi culti ,CAN CAN ruffled,  halter dress/tunic.
It  is  made  from a variety of  fabrics.
For the top part I used a poly blend and stretchy material and  then I made the straps by spinding muticoloured nylon yarn in Mah lil cording machine.
For the skirt I used linen and the ruffles are made  out  of  everything from cotton, satin, sheers to tulle.
There are  fabric flower appliques & plastic flowers details (you can't see clearly  due to the poor Quality of  the image) and a  belt made  out of lil  denim circles that I sewed on to the  skirt as well.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / roses on my sweater!, roses on my chocha ! on: February 01, 2005 02:55:18 PM
I made this from a XXL men's Sweater that I made FeMinine by  cutting, and reshaping it  into  this top. I added some ribbing around the neck and  waistband. Then I attached afew faux  flowers in the front.

Here is a close up  of the Couchie shorts
it's  made of the same Ribbing fabric embellished with lace and a faux rose  at the Feminine V.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / mascra and old bra makes a sexy cami on: January 03, 2005 10:49:28 PM
I made this little apron like Cami top with a VS bra that I could no longer fit  into my post pregnancy bust.
The front  has denim details around the bust line. A removable Faux flower and black lace corsage. And I replaced the straps with sequin string trim
here is  a close up of  my sistah friend in it applying  her  mascara

The back is open and I replaced the hook~n~eye closure with a button on denim base.

The bottom has  layers of  pink and black stretchy nylon  fabric with pink lace trim.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hubby's Toss out into new knockout on: December 13, 2004 10:28:00 PM
This  was  Once a boring short sleeve button down men's  cotton shirt and  men's linen dress pants.

First I cut off the  sleeves and collar of the shirt  ( remade  them  into fabric  roses)
Then I flip   the  button down front around to back
Cut  away some  fabric from  the side seams, and put in some side darts and a bust line
Resewed the side seams for a closer fit.     Puff! Restyled  a rose blouse was born

Close up of the top.
Oh yea! the leaves are  made  of green leather.... thats  green sequins around the arm holes.

the skirt
I cut  the pant legs  off  a little above the crotch
opened the side seams  of the  legs to be used for pleating  ruffles
Sewed  them around  one side and  half of the  backside  (2 rows on top of  each other for flirty fullness
The  edges were left raw and  this how flirty skirt with an asymethric ruffled  hem was made.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Funk for Her top on: December 11, 2004 10:24:21 PM

this  is back made  from 3 necks of the  tshirt  sewed into  a racer back cut. and  a D-ring closure

And  here  is  the sideview    with a denim patch Feature. I hope  she likes it.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / afro funk denim recon skirt (new images added) on: November 23, 2004 01:04:20 AM

As promised on  a human  model. This  pic was taken  last weekend at a fashionshow where I  showcased  my  designs.
The top is  a Shrug worn  back to front. The shrug was  also reconstructed from Old jeans that was treated in the  same matter  as  the skirt.

I made this  skirt from a pair  of  old jeans that I cut,  flip around  resewed and airbrushed  with  fabric paint.
Here  is the  back of the  skirt ( my favorite) styled  with lace, an army patch  next  to a applique  I made from a piece of flowerprinted fabric. Also some  denim, red and blue sweater fabric that into appliques.

this is the  front
I sew a long red dress zipper, black lace red strip of  akoke' afrikan print and a green stripe woven trim

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Scandalous che stencil recon on: November 19, 2004 10:32:31 PM
My hubby  broke it off with this short sleeve tennis shirt.
Well miss thang wanted  a new look  so  she had a jumped off session with  my sewing tools.
First she  did it my  shears  who resized and  reshaped the  neck line with  a  deep  v in the front and back.
Then  sewing machine  restyled  her collar with ruffles  and a button in the  back.
Lenghten her  sleeves with some jersey fabric.
Bleach  drip striped some of  her  color oooooooowee
and then she dropped  a bomb che stencil  with gold spray paint
~shakes  head  ~ scandalous
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / patchy skirt and tunic dress (new images on: November 14, 2004 07:12:23 PM
this is what  the tunic concoction looks like on a live model

here is the back of the concoction

While purging my crafting abode I found some Denim and Jersey scraps amongst the miles of fabrics that  have  taken  over  my  space. Not wanting to part with these findings, I remixed and intertwined it with some colorful  lace and sequins trims then  brighten it with bleach and fabric paint.
