Lomester, I love your GG.  You did a beautiful job - it's so elegant.

Sadly, despite the fact that I started this knitalong, I don't think I'm going to be knitting this sweater this year.  I actually ended up using the yarn I bought for it for something else (with a larger gauge).  I know that's pretty lame... but I'm checking back to see if anyone else finishes...

I've put this project on the back burner for now.  I know that's pretty pathetic, seeing as I started this knitalong, but what can you do.  I'm focusing mainly on gift knitting at the moment, so perhaps I will get to this early next year.  Sorry you're having so many problems with yours, Crystal!  I hope some time away from it will help you feel better about it.

I'm knitting this sweater right now (just started - I'm on the first sleeve) so I'm game for the knitalong.  I'm using Knit Picks Andean Silk.  I'm knitting it for a friend's birthday - so I hope it turns out well!

beautiful job, kinkyknit - I love the way the burgundy ribbon looks with the light brown color you chose.

I've really enjoyed looking through this thread again after a long absence. All the finished projects are so lovely - especially all those steek vests and ballet tops in all the different colors.

I'm contemplating knitting the yoke vest sometime this fall - and I noticed there were a couple of finished ones up here.  Anyone else knit this vest?  I'm concerned about the sizing - the chest sizes are so tiny, but the pattern says to accommodate for stretch.  I'm a 36" chest, but I like things to be fitted.  I'm thinking I should probably make the size large (34 1/2") rather than the small/medium (which is like 29") - but I don't want it to be too chunky.  The sizing in this book is weird...

I'm also wondering if I have to use wool for this pattern?  I'd love to hear what yarns others have used...

I'm almost there, folks.  I've got to seam the sleeves and sides, and then do the buttons and ribbon.  oh, and the roses on the front.  but hopefully that should get done pretty soon.  (fingers crossed).  lots of WIP photos on my blog, if you're interested...

That looks fabulous!  The color is great, as is the fit, and I love the lace panel.
