I got my amazing amazing tiny thing today! Thank you KarenLouiseM!

I loved the packaging - and it caused my office to wander in to watch me open it up! (they love my swaps!)

When I finally got through all the wrapping I found this amazing pyramid! The walls are decorated with Zombies (on my list) and black sparklys at the corners! It was held closed with an ring with a sparkly candy corn (on my list! - I also may have mentioned I love sparkly things)

When you take the ring off it opens into this wonderfulness!

I LOVE THE PATTERNS inside and more candy corn!!! yay!

and in the center? I can't even describe the cuteness!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Everything was perfectly made and so thoughtful! Oh and is there a name for this opening pyramid thing? (I think I've seen houses on here that do it?) cause I want more !! Smiley

They are AMAZING! wow! That suit is adorable! and so much work and a sock cat/goddess is just...wow!
I got my monkey and I love her so much! Rockinbearranch made the most amazing mer-monkey (or sea monkey as the case may be!) Took a me bit to put up pictures cause I really wanted to take her to the ocean for her photo shoot, but this weekend got away from me...so without further ado...drum roll....

The detail on the tail took so much work!

and hellooooo how cute is her monkey tail!

Then when she comes on land she loses her fish-tail...

and dons this gorgeous dress (love the criss cross front)

More monkey tail and I've stolen her necklace to be a bracelet Smiley

I absolutely adore her hair! So soft and flowing! She makes me so happy!

First off everything was wrapped really prettily in the most colorful tissue paper ever! I didn't get pictures of that, because I got it at work and my coworker and I just dug in...
stefaniegk was my partner and she went way overboard spoiling  me! (she said she felt bad cause she mailed out late - but still this was ridiculous spoilage!)
Here's the whole stash on my coffee table:

The things she made for me:
This amazing Dr. Who Tardis Book Bag with my quote on it!:

There is even a pocket inside! So talented!
A canvas with my quote stitched on it (stitching on canvas! I didn't even know you could do that!)

And my FAVORITE! is this entirely glittered notebook! At least a pound of glitter went into this! it's the most amazing thing ever! My personal quote is on the front !

More Doctor Who quotes on the back!

And throughout it are inspiration quotes and pictures:

Some of the extra goodies she sent:

A TON of quoteable notecards...each one (and there is a TON) is a different quote perfectly wonderful! And they are by my favorite authors and some of my favorite people. Along with HANDMADE Magazine Envelopes...the time to research all these quotes must have taken forever, and I extremely apprciate each and every one of them!

Embroidery patterns/sewing scissors/thread

Doctor Who Comic (which blew my mind) Beautiful Ornaments that she glittered for me and a TON of glitter for me to entirely cover everything I own in glitter!

A book on making softies (with patterns). I've been wanting to learn to make these better! Score! stickers, Halloween Lego Men (i love halloween) awesome folding stars, vinyl robot...all just too much - and right in the middle??? LABELS THAT SAY MADE BY UNICORNS! What!??! so wonderful!

All in all this was the most ridiculously amazing package I have EVERY received and I am very appreciate of all the time and care she put into them.

I received from La Chapa Today! YAY! She sent me (as requested) a tiny thing for my wall. It was supposed to go on a wall at home but it immediately got put up at work (using thumb tacks since they were faster even!).

Is this the CUTEST zombie kitty ever?!?!? I think so! Thank you so much! i love him (her? it?) so much!

The picture is big to show detail (what perfect stitches!) but the it's the perfect tiny size of 3"!

I received from BriannaB03 today! wow...just wow! I had told her I wanted an awesome glass to drink from at work (i work in a brewery) and look at this amazingness!

She also included these wonderful personalized coasters (Evil Dead! Vincent Price! Universal Monsters!!!!)

They include a felt backing to keep them from scratching the table (extra thoughtful!) and are waterproof to protect them from spills! (the lighting caught the brush strokes, but they are perfect in person!)

I love them so much they are perfect! just perfect! There were "action shots" full of beer and using the coasters...but for some reason all those pictures turned out blurry...odd...LOL!

10  8-bit Boyfriend in Needlework: Completed Projects by MsZombieElvis on: August 03, 2015 09:42:09 AM
My SO got promoted into an office job and I wanted to make a little something for him to put on his new desk. He loves classic video games, and I remembered my mom (30 years ago) doing personalized pixel-y people cross stitch when someone got married, or had an anniversary or an addition to their family.  (My grandma still has one framed of all her grown up children). I called my mom to see if she still had the basic pattern, she laughed - apparently she has cleaned out her craft pile in the last 30 years-but suggested I google it. Found a basic pattern here http://www.marthastewart.com/857131/cross-stitch-family-portrait which seemed almost exactly like what she used to make. I had to wing it on the accessories but I'm super happy with how it turned out!

In addition to video games - he likes beer, music (records) and the Houston Astros (which is the logo on the shirt). He always wears a plaid newsboy style hat which was the hardest to figure out how to replicate in squares. His beard is whiter at the center and his hear whiter nearer the ears, so for those few stitches I added a strand of white.
