1  My version of the Celine Trapeze bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by BelleMorte on: September 13, 2013 08:38:43 AM
I absolutely love the look of the Celine Trapeze bag, just not the hefty price tag.  So I got the idea to make my own version of it.  I bought some beautiful glossy, dark purple leather and black suede from Tandy Leather Factory.  I also had the brilliant (semi sarcastic here) idea to hand sew the leather cuz my machine wasn't working and pretty much do the entire purse by hand.  3 1/2 days later and nearly 10 hours of work and this is what I have.

The measurements are 25 cm in length, 20.5 cm in height and 9 cm in depth.  I tend to do my purses in centimeters instead of inches.

I kept the interior very minimal with just one cell phone pocket and a key strap (both are glued in place with E6000 glue cuz I suck at making and sewing pockets) for my keys.  The side flaps are beige vinyl that I already had on hand.  I think the beige is a nice contrast color to the dark purple.  I also riveted in some black bamboo handles.

There are minor mistakes and things I would now do differently but all in all, I accomplished what I set out to do so I am very pleased with the end results.  It was definitely a learning experience.

2  Suicide Girl pinup (digital) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BelleMorte on: June 14, 2013 11:27:36 PM
I painted this Suicide Girl pinup for my brother.  She is less tattooed than the typical Suicide Girl but I like the look of what is there.  Coming up with tattoos to paint was much harder than I imagined.

3  help with Centennial Dressmaker Zigzag Deluxe model in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by BelleMorte on: June 09, 2013 10:41:22 PM
My dad found me a sewing machine at a yard sale a few days ago.  It is a Centennial Dressmaker brand Zigzag Deluxe model that is attached to its own table/hideaway.  Sorry I haven't included any pictures of it.  I can if needed.  It runs but has no original accessories if any.  My question is how do I thread the machine because it needs new thread.  There is no manual and I can't seem to find anything online to help.

Here are the photos I should have posted months ago.  Sorry for the super long delay.  I have no excuses.  If anyone could help me figure out how to thread this I would greatly appreciate the help.

4  The Bride in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BelleMorte on: June 08, 2013 10:59:13 PM
Here is another digital painting.  I've noticed that I draw the bride of Frankenstein quite a bit.  Never really watched Frankenstein movies so I don't know why I am so fascinated by her.

5  digital painting Saoirse the Sea Witch in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BelleMorte on: May 08, 2013 12:13:49 AM
My inspiration for this piece was Ursula from The Little Mermaid.  Saoirse could be her vengeful younger sister.
This was done entirely on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Sketchbook Mobile.  I would estimate that this took at least 7 or 8 hours to sketch and paint all the layers.  I can assuredly say no more digital painting practice for me; I've gotten the hang of the app and am now painting seriously.
This is my new favorite piece.

I am very pleased with how this turned out.  Made completely on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Sketchbook Mobile.

8  Lavender Lady (digital painting) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BelleMorte on: April 20, 2013 12:27:15 AM
I recently bought a digital painting app for my Galaxy Note 2.  I just keep playing around with it and this is what I came up with in about an hour.  I really like the airbrush pens, especially for the hair and skin coloring.  I am new to digital painting so all this practice really helps.
I'm still trying to get the hang of all the layers and merging them and whatnot.  Can't quite figure out how to go back to a previous layer and fiddle with that particular bit.

9  Spiked and studded black leather wedding bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by BelleMorte on: March 18, 2013 01:13:55 AM
My soon to be sister-in-law asked me to make her a black leather bracelet for her wedding.  She said she wanted a bracelet 3 inches wide that had spikes on it.  Those were her specifics; the rest was up to me.  I found some lovely leather scraps from Tandy Leather Factory, a buttery soft black leather and a nice patent strip, that I used to make the main body of the bracelet.  I used a black suede trim to make the underside.  I already had the spikes and pyramid studs so all I needed was an eyelet kit.  I originally planned to use lobster clasps for the closures but didn't like them with the finished piece so I made two hook clasps.
The finished piece is a surprise for her.  I didn't share any works in progress pics so I really hope she likes it.  I should know any day now.

10  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap -- December 2012 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by BelleMorte on: January 26, 2013 10:40:26 PM
Here are two awesome ATCs from dreadlady for my vampire food theme.  A vampire soda, which has the fluid ounces listed on it, by the way.  And a vampire carrot.  They are both getting hung on the wall in nice frames and are a great start to a vampire food art collection.  Thank you dreadlady.  I love them.
