2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Truely free fonts? on: September 04, 2005 01:48:04 PM
Where do I find free fonts?  Huh  I've done google searches, but the sites I find seem to be gateways to other sites that are all pay sites. I'm looking for a font that looks like chinese characters, but is actually just regular letters, kwim? If anyone has any tips, let me know!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / adorable owl applique baby jumper :) on: August 14, 2005 01:45:41 PM
I made this applique last night. I think it came out pretty good for being all free-hand. The jumper was pretty plain-jane before.

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / My first (successful) stencil on: August 03, 2005 06:40:56 PM
I finally got around to trying the contact paper method after a few failed attemps at other ways. I think it came out pretty good. I liked how easy the contact paper is to use and love that I can use it over and over. I welcome your comments Smiley

7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Etsy sales way down? Or is it just me!? on: July 30, 2005 08:11:03 AM
I've had an etsy shop for more than a month now. The first weeks were great! We had great sale, probably one item a day. Now, we've not had a sale since 7-12 Sad

Is it just our shop? We keep adding new products, fixing up our website, etc.. and really expected that sales would increase not stop completely!! Anyone else having this issue?
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Need ideas to get my stencil to stick on: July 13, 2005 09:17:26 PM
I cut a stencil (my first ever!) today from mylar and it has very fine whispy pieces. How do I get all these fine whispy points and piece to stick down? I tried using some elmers, but Im stenciling on a painted surface and it looks bad. I need something that will not leave any trace. Im afraid to try the freezer paper since I do not want the wax to melt into the painted surface, it really can't be washed. I tried paper sticker sheet, but it left adhesive behind and made a huge mess. Any ideas? I think I might try contact paper next.

But here is a close up of the lovely lady Smiley  I really love the silver metalic thread for the spurs and tassel.
