1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Wonky Bat- my first crack on my sewing machine! on: June 08, 2012 06:06:15 AM
Hello! My name is Sarah and this is my first time on craftster. I bought a sewing machine a few months ago and hadnt had the time to sit down and familiarise myself with it. I can sew very basically but have never made my own clothes or things which is my goal.
For my first 'play' on the singer I decided to make a little felt soft toy. I basically cut a very simple oval shape, then cut two bat wings. Once sewed together I painted the details on with fabric paint.
I like the way his face came out, however my sewing needs a lot of work! I can't wait to particpate more on craftster and get better as I learn tips and tricks along the way.

EDIT- just found out I can't upload photos until I've posted ten times, so will hang out, post some more then add pics!
