Oh My Crap!!! This is the scariest thing I have seen in a long time! You did a great job, but I am so glad it's not in my house!

they are all so fabulous! Each of my kids picked a favorite based on colour, but there is no way I could choose one. I love them all! The different textures are great.
23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Big Project Stitch A-long 2012 on: August 18, 2012 02:21:46 PM
Here is my first progress shot. I haven't been stitching as often as I'd like to, but I'm getting it finished little by little. in the sleeve of her shirt is kreinik, this is the first time I've worked with that and I have to say I absolutely hate it! It kept coming off the needle, it would bunch and tangle, it would snag, it made me want to hang myself with it!!! Ok maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but I don't care for it.

I think I'm going to continue around the main image doing the background because of the lack of colour changes, I feel like I'm making more progress that way  Wink

Listessa--> taking a picture each day is a great idea! I think I will have to start doing that because I haven't even touched my project in a week because I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. Your project is looking great, I love how you have it marked out in a grid. I bet that comes in really handy!

Great job everyone keep up the good work!

These are awesome! My boys love them too. My middlest saw them and asked me why I don't ever make anything cool like that for them. Gotta love his honesty...i guess. Great job.  this rocks!

Can I play too, guys? I love cross stitch, but I have never done anything larger than a 5in by 7in. but I'm going to challenge myself to do this

It is about 7in by 10in. I am going to do it on 28 ct antique white evenweave and I think I will just use one strand to give it a kind of faded old look. I doubt I will get it done this year, but I'm hoping that seeing all the amazing and fast progress everyone else is making will rub off on me and speed me up a little.
