1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing Machine song on YouTube on: March 08, 2012 09:44:44 PM
I am looking to buy a better sewing machine because my machine won't sew layers of fabric or leather. I need a good old fashioned machine made out of steel. I was getting a little depressed because I can't seem to find anything I can afford.
While looking I found a cute song that made me smile and the video had the machine I want....An old Singer! Check out the video:

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Messenger Bag Purse just finished!!! on: February 22, 2012 02:29:30 PM
I needed a new purse and after checking around, I couldn't afford the ones I liked and I didn't like the ones I could afford. "Necessity is the mother of invention" I made one and I liked the way it turned out.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Beatles Nook Cover on: December 30, 2011 09:19:29 PM
I saw a youtube tutorial for making a Nook Cover but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I was able to make one exactly like I wanted on my own. It features a snap closure and a pocket under the place that holds the nook. I loved making this.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Slipper Pattern problems! I need help on: November 22, 2008 06:21:51 AM
I am trying to knit a lacy slipper but I don't understand one part of the instructions. The pattern is in the new Patons "socks and slippers" book. The part that has me stumped is, "Dec 1 st at foot edge on next 3 rows." Which side is the foot edge. Is it the instep or what I would have consdered the edge, around by the bottom of the foot? The patterns goes on to tell you at the end to pick up stitches on foot edge and knit around and that part seems to be around the instep. I am confused. Can anyone help claify this for me.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Scraf from the Movie "Meet me in Saint Louis" Judy Garland on: August 20, 2005 02:13:24 PM
I have always wanted to knit the beaded scarf that Judy Garland wore in
the Christmas scene when she sings her famous "have yourself a merry
little Christmas" song. I have seen that movie a million times and I
really love her outfits. The scarf looks like it is knitted. Does
anyone know where I can find the pattern?

I have a pair of white size 5 leather jeans that I don't believe I'll ever get into again. They are very soft and beautiful. I took the seams apart because I want to make something but I don't know what. Any suggestions? I was thinking of a purse or leather flowers. ....I need help!!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Help! I don't know how to put the Hex purse frame together!! on: May 04, 2005 03:57:37 PM
I made a canvas purse from Ghee's pattern and I bought the straight Hex Handbag Frame. The directions show that you align holes and slide the rivets through the ends but I can't seem to align the holes. I broke one of the end rings trying to put it through the holes. I need help. Maybe there is a trick to this???
