1  Doll Quilt for an 18 inch doll in Quilting: Completed Projects by luv2stitch on: July 24, 2009 01:03:26 PM

I finally made the first cut and pieced together a quilt for an 18 inch doll. There are 81 squares and each one is 2 inches. Each section is hand tied with four strands of embroidery thread. I used a commercially printed Butterick 4538 pattern.

4  UCI Anteater - Clanger in Knitting: Completed Projects by luv2stitch on: February 23, 2008 11:31:18 AM

I finally found a pattern that could pass as an Anteater. I added a tail, made a school cardigan and improvised with a crocheted ant.  The ant is attached to the nose with a snap.

The pattern can be found by searching for Clanger.  It's from an old British tv series.

 My finished squares.

I don't know why it's just me but I noticed that the chart/diagram and the written instructions are slightly different for round 4.
The (sl st in 5th ch from hook) is missing in the chart, so if you follow the chart the square will look slightly different. At least that is my interpretation.

I made three squares with the chart before I noticed that the squares looked different than everyone else's so I redid them.

This is round 4 using the chart.

This is round 4 using the written instructions.

Thank you so much for making the modifications to the shrug to fit the 18 inch dolls.  I have been making little cardigans all weekend for these dolls. I love the top down raglans.

This is the Red Heart Super Saver Ranch Red. A little longer length.
This is the Simply Soft Heather Grey. A little shorter length, I started the ribbing immediately after joining the front & body stitches.

This is a great use for leftover yarn.

Here is the Poke Turtle that I did from a Roxycraft pattern.

I'm hoping to make a whole family of these. They are so fun and turn out very nice.
