1  Re: Star Wars Dudes in Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions by volcanogirl73 on: October 07, 2012 10:51:07 AM
I have done all the Star Wars Characters with the patterns by Lucy Ravenscar. I also modified a few to make characters she didn't have (Jango, Mace Windu, Lando, Darth Maul) .  I think it was well worth the money for her patters.  It didn't cost much.  Grin

The photo below also shows characters done from these patterns:
Queen Amidala - Red Invasion Dress by Nancy J (Available for free on Raverly)
Jabba the Hut by Joy A Goerlich available on Esty.

2  Help! Working in the round without joining?? Amigurumi newbie in Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions by volcanogirl73 on: May 06, 2012 05:50:09 PM
I am new to the Amigurumi scene. I just bought the Star Wars patterns from lucyravenscar and I am going crazy.  Did not realize a few things I didn't know would stand in my way.

Trying to figure out how to "Work in the Round without joining" Huh The pattern states:

Is made in rounds from the top of the head down. Do not join rounds unless told to. Work through both loops of stitches.

The problem:  mine come out with the spiral/crooked look.  So far, people suggest using a slip stitch to join to prevent the spiral look, however the patters says not to join. It doesn't give instructions for turning, Any help??  Her's turn out so strait in rows and nice.

The photo attached of course is not the right colors, but gives you an idea of what my work is doing. Since I am new, it only allows me to post the link to the photo.
