2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: I made the gift, now how do I wrap and ship it? on: December 06, 2012 03:27:20 PM
gift cards: I use scraps of yarn and make little pouches. hey can be knit or crocheted in a few minutes and recipients tend to keep them <3
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Winter Wren Pattern on: December 04, 2012 07:38:16 AM
So adorable. I keep thinking what a cute mobile these birds and some twigs and thread would make. Thank you for sharing them!

4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Polymer Clay Bracelet Display: Made Using Paper Towel Roll! TUTORIAL! on: November 20, 2012 08:16:08 AM
This is great! both in design and execution. I MUST make one of these for at home, I have a ton of antique bangles that are stuck in a bin because bangle racks are usually too small.

Thanks for sharing!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Some Pyrography work (pic heavy) on: November 20, 2012 07:44:15 AM
These pieces are really beautiful. The intricacy of the design and sheer amount of work that went into them amazes me!

Love it. I think I'll make a 1 strip bag with rug warp and plastic bags as weft. Check out this link:

wouldn't it be perfect?
9  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: Rusty Weaving Experiment! on: October 15, 2012 06:14:03 PM
I love the effect!

Instead of soaking it, I would place the piece on a plate and spray it with water from a squirt bottle every time I walked by. let it dry in between because the exposure to air is what causes rust (oxidation), not the actual sitting in water.

O wonderful weaving! you've got me plotting: It would be neat to make a few more and then crochet around them to make a banner or cape!
