1  Re: Lelah's done! (now with PATTERN) in Knitting: Completed Projects by Lynn on: May 14, 2006 06:18:51 PM
so i just finished mine, tried it on, and realized it worked ALOT better as a skirt rather than a tube top.  also, i changed the pattern around quite a bit (using my own measurements and such), and also instead of doing stockinette stitch at the top i did 1x1 twisted rib in fishermans wool. oh, and the lacework is done in knitpicks shine worsted in apple green (so soft! so nice! so cheap! i love it.)

here it is:

i just finished this the other day, it does fit a little weird but still wearable (i used sugar and cream kitchen cotton to make it..probably not the best choice but it's so cheap!)

more about it at my blog (link in my signature)

i finished mine a couple days ago and have been waiting for it to warm up a little bit to wear it for pictures, BUT its still freezing here so the pictures are just on a hanger  Undecided

i messed up the increases on the back, and its really lumpy in general because i had to use big needles to get the right gauge.  i'm thinking about blocking it but i'll probably just end up wearing it as is.  its made on paton's classic wool, which was on sale at ac moore for 3.99$!  thanks again for such an easy/quick project!

6  log cabin pot holder in Quilting: Completed Projects by Lynn on: February 01, 2006 09:31:00 PM
tonight, after a two or so year hiatus, i decided i was going to start quilting again.  since i don't have the time or patience to make an entire quilt, i'm going to make lots of smaller things.  tonight's project was a log cabin potholder.

there's tons of things that i could have done better, but i think it came out alright and now i have a potholder for my first apartment!

7  LAPTOP CASE(s): vinyl goodness! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Lynn on: July 12, 2005 04:10:38 PM
I recently got a 15" Powerbook, as a graduation present from my parents.  I plan on toting it around with me in my backpack so I decided it needed some kind of protective case.

My first attempt was with this neat seafoam green vinyl I found, and some colorful flower printed cotton I found;

Today I used an orangey-red vinyl and some buggy fabric for the lining to make another!

9  finished russian winter hat! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by Lynn on: January 27, 2005 07:25:23 PM
so i went to ac moore the other day, planning on getting the supplies for the newsboy cap.  however, i saw this yarn that reminded me of the russian winter hat, so i got it and made that instead.

it doesnt look exactly like the one in the book, but its really soft and i like it nonetheless!

10  Re: Head Huggers=Amazingly Cute! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by Lynn on: January 27, 2005 07:22:34 PM
here's my version! i used leftover pink chunky woolease for the main part, then some extra acrylic for the flowers / petals.  i like it alot!

i'm horrible at m1's, so the m1l and m1r kinda threw me off, but i (kind of) got the hang of it, and i put the flowers over that side anyway.
