11  zebra print & hot pink Stockings w/matching tree skirt in Winter Holidays by zenochka on: December 07, 2008 04:39:13 PM
No this isn't mine lol. A girl a town over asked me to make these for her. She wanted 4 stockings (2 are for her kitties) and a matching tree skirt in zebra print and hot pink. She also wanted their names on the stockings and last name on the tree skirt. I did all the names freehand on my sewing machine.
Her tree is white with hot pink and black ornaments with a zebra print ribbon going around it as garland. So here they are

The tree skirt is huge, 60" across and has a pink lining and 3 velcro tabs

Here are 10 christmas tree wall hangings that I made for a craft show I'm doing this saturday. The pattern originally is for a quilt but I made wall hangings instead. I quilted them around the tree and added some "garland" to a few of them

13  Mini Thomas the Train Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by zenochka on: October 28, 2008 06:21:41 PM
I had started this for my son almost 2 years ago when he was 3 to use in the car during the winter(he is now 5 lol). I did everything but the binding and then had put it away in my fabric stash when we had to change my sewing room into my daughter's bedroom in a weekend and it got packed away in the basement. I was searching for fabric a few weeks ago and found it again and finally finished it for him. It's not that big at all, 32 by 32 inches, in a small around the world pattern. The back is a flannel Thomas the Train fabric that matches. I did a stitch in the ditch for the quilting. It's small and cozy and the best part is he loves it!

I actually had someone  want me to make them a t-shirt quilt for their son! Just a random person that actually come across my website. I was thrilled and did in in 10 days from the time she sent the shirts until she got it back. The 2nd square in the 2nd row was made out his old baby blankie.

and I also made a miniquilt and attached his old baby blankie binding to the edge for him

15  Purple Double Irish Chain quilt for my boss in Quilting: Completed Projects by zenochka on: January 03, 2008 06:20:34 PM
So since I went back to work 7 months ago I haven't had time to do any crafting or sewing really. But I love my job and my boss is the best so I wanted to make her something special for Christmas. She is 100% Irish and loves purple...so... Somehow while working 60 hours a week during the last week before Christmas in retail I managed to make her this quilt. She absolutely loved it which made me happy. It's a twin coverlet size. Not as much quilting done on it as I would have liked but I just ran out of time and energy!!
