I had severe sticker shock once sending to Australia.  the package wasn't that heavy but it was considered oversized as I had made something on an 11x14 canvas.

There is a media rate which costs less and does take a slow boat to get there but the package has to be 100% media so this would not qualify

It was international shipping I just figured with a medium flat rate priority box that meant there was a flat rate...apparently not international! Had I repackaged I a bag or different box it would have been $4 more

Oh well!! My partners worth it! My 50th and last official swap here had to go with a bang!

It's called Media Mail but you cna't send anything but certain types of media.  It;s 2.75 for the first pound and I think like 51 cents for each additional pound.  I used to use it a lot when I sold books on half.com (is that site still there?) I sent this package flat rate because my package was pretty heavy.

Media Mail
28 Business Days

What can you send using Media Mail?
Books (at least eight pages)
Printed music and test materials
Video and sound recordings
Printed educational charts
Medical loose-leaf pages and binders
Computer-readable media

NOTE: Video games, computer drives, and digital drives do not qualify for Media Mail prices.
Rules & Restrictions
Maximum weight is 70 lbs.

WHOA! That's crazy! Books are heavy, man. I'm assuming international, so might not apply, but the guy at the PO told me today that there is a cheaper book rate I could pay but it takes longer to arrive (I didn't take him up on it). Anyone know anything about that?

It's good to see you though!
Hope you are doing well.

This certainly brought me out of my self-imposed hibernation...just when I was coming back to suck up to everybody and explain my absence and get back into it...well, now, I am here to find a solution to keep in touch with everybody and share our craftster family.

I am going to catch up and see what has been happening while I was asleep at the wheel...

Love you guys...this is horrid...

Damn, geekgirl!  What a nifty item!

Thanks! I think I first heard of flow books from smmarrt. There is some sort of flow magazine you can actually purchase that you take apart and use. It was a bit pricey from what I remember.

In the 12 days of Christmas swap BigBangMomma had listed masterboards on her questionnaire. But I wanted to do something different and decided to make a flow book. A flow book might look like a junk journal at first but its not.  Its not bound. The pages are folded around each other and the whole thing is tied with a ribbon. Its meant to be taken apart and used in other projects. Its just a cute way of bundling all the supplies together.
