251  Re: Paper and Ephemera Swap Round 10 Gallery - Send-out Nov. 18 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by geekgirl1000100 on: November 13, 2013 05:30:07 PM
I came home to 2 great packages.

An envelope from Witchhippie:
she packed all the goodies in 2 reusuable envelopes.
All kinds of good stuff - stickers, stamps, old note cards and my favorite item - the paperdoll dress in the lower right corner

and from LovelyMiss:
tons of scrapbook papers, stickers, game pieces, fake money of several types and my fav - an envelope full of cool cut-outs in the lower right corner, including 2 Tardis cut-outs!

And LovelyMiss sent an awesome card Smiley

252  Re: Assemblage art swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by geekgirl1000100 on: October 27, 2013 04:17:53 PM
I'm only now posting pics of my package I got a week ago.  I've  been super swamped at work and out of town again Sad

hgddm and I both did bird assemblages for each other.  I really liked all the interesting pieces she used in the piece she made for me.  It's so cute and sitting on my bookcase Smiley

253  Steampunk Pear Bird in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by geekgirl1000100 on: October 15, 2013 07:40:10 PM
I wasn't sure if this little guy belonged here or the misc board.
I made him for the assemblage  art swap.   It's my first attempt at 3-D assemblage art.
except for the decorative gears he is made of thrift store finds.  His body is a fake pear,  his wings and feet and tail are made from old utensils. The  nest is a wreath form that I glued a bunch of nails on. Some of the  nails I bent.  If I had a vise I could have bent more nails but I was just using pliers and  my own hand  strength so I was limited.

I received  my 3rd package from Lindyv a few days ago.
she really spoiled me.  I love it all.

The whole lot:

A Tardis mug rug / or wall art!  I haven't decided which to use it for.

Look at all the detailed embroidery:

Doctor Who themed jewelry:
a cool Tardis necklace, 10 pin, and an awesome charm bracelet with stars, a bow tie (too cute), a pocket watch, a wolf (clever) psychic paper, sonic screwdriver, compass, and a Converse Sneaker.

Fall Holiday themed items - socks, a Thanksgiving sign, pumpkin earrings and necklace and the cutest little owl

And art supplies: Prismacolor pencils! a drawing pad, a zentangle book (I doodle a lot) and ATC kits and papers.

I've really enjoyed this swap. Thanks for being my partner Lindyv!

255  River Song's Journal / Shrine in Completed Projects by geekgirl1000100 on: August 28, 2013 09:16:11 AM
I made this for myself.  I took a plain wooden box that was shaped like a book and made it look like River Song's journal. and when you open it up, it is a Doctor Who shrine.

I painted the exploding Tardis background but the Tardis itself is a 3-D cutout.
