1  Re: Winter Book Swap 2019 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by geekgirl1000100 on: December 16, 2019 06:48:43 AM
I received from WingsoftheWind!  Thanks!

I adore this Terry Pratchett quote she embroidered on a tote bag.  This will be my new small project bag for craft group!

And 2 interesting cookbooks.  I like to read cookbooks like a novel and I'm definitely going to be trying some of these recipes out!

2  Re: Color in a Box Swap 2019 Holiday Edition SU til Nov 1st, SO Dec 2nd - CLOSED in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by geekgirl1000100 on: December 12, 2019 05:54:04 AM
I love color in a box swaps.  it's so fun seeing a box of one color and what people make.

My partner received a while ago so I'm going to post pics of what I sent.  Her color palette was turquoise and copper which was a bit of a challenge but I like challenges.  I also thought the copper part would be the hard part but it was actually the turquoise part that was harder.

I made an assemblage star, a wire wrapped bangle, painted a star ornament that lights up and made some animal magnets painted in copper that I saw on her pinterest.

4  Re: Paper and Mixed Media Craft-Along in Craftalongs by geekgirl1000100 on: December 08, 2019 06:43:45 PM
In the 12 days of Christmas swap BigBangMomma had listed masterboards on her questionnaire. But I wanted to do something different and decided to make a flow book. A flow book might look like a junk journal at first but its not.  Its not bound. The pages are folded around each other and the whole thing is tied with a ribbon. Its meant to be taken apart and used in other projects. Its just a cute way of bundling all the supplies together.

This is a little notebook made from several sheets of paper covered in a doily

I think these are the last 2 ATCs for me.

From BBM for my pick 3 theme: red, washi, chevron - bonus points for all in one!  Cheesy
And a postage stamp, and glittery.
She named it Strike Zone. Love it. The composition is just too funny.

From go see for my space theme
The astronaut is on top of a master board which has a cool looking effect. Perfect for space background. And I love her shimmery green eyes.

6  Assemblage ATC in Completed Projects by geekgirl1000100 on: December 05, 2019 06:20:02 PM
This is an ATC but since its not paper based Im putting it in the misc forum.
The base is a 2.5x3.5 canvas. The theme was metallic so I decided to go all out. Most of the components are metal. Then painted black and brushed with teal. And then a few non-painted pieces added at the end.

7  Cinch bag with front pocket in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by geekgirl1000100 on: December 05, 2019 06:34:40 AM
I made this for BigBangMomma in the Mini 12 Days of Christmas swap.  It was one of her main wishes and she likes sloths and I was lucky to find some cute sloth material.

Sewing is not my strong suit so it always makes me a little anxious and it was the first time using grommets.  Wow. you really have to hit those suckers hard!.

But I'm happy how it turned out.

8  Assemblage Star in Completed Projects by geekgirl1000100 on: December 05, 2019 06:19:11 AM
I made this assemblage star for the Color in a Box swap.  My partner's color choice was Copper and Turquoise.

The base was these paper mache stars I found at Micahels

The stars measured 4.75" x 4.75" x 0.38" and I glued 3 together and base painted in black then went over with many dry brush coats of turquoise and metallic copper paint.

I received a cheerful box of yellow from chase_acow

There are snacks, bath stuff, a glittery pen, sprinkles

And this wood burned box!  I love it!  I love wood burned stuff and this is so pretty.

Inside the box - knitted dishcloths

An uplifting book, lip balm, nail polish, nail files , gum, candle, and skittles - what more could a girl want, right?

Thanks so much!

10  Flora the Succulent Doll in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by geekgirl1000100 on: December 04, 2019 06:50:07 AM
I made Flora for BigBangMomma in the Mini 12 Days of Christmas Swap.

I found the pattern on etsy (google flora succulent doll) and made some adjustments.
Her skirt folds up into a pot or folds down so she can stand.  I made her a fancy purse and a warm scarf and her very own pet sloth.

I'm just going to upload a ton of photos.  I love Flora and it was hard to give her away but I know I sent her to a great home!  It was also hard to stop making accessories for her!
