21  Every piece of you hoopla in Needlework: Completed Projects by deathbeforedishes on: September 30, 2013 05:36:43 PM
I finished my WIP from last year!  Grin

Every piece of you is a burst of beautiful.

I made it for my two little girls bedroom. It's all French knots. (Except for the clouds.)

I am now taking a well deserved break from French knots... Wink

Thanks for looking!

This is going to be my entry for the month. It's the only hoopla that I've worked on this month and it's been a labor of love...

"Every piece of you is a burst of beautiful."  It's for my two little kumquats bedroom.

I finished last night, even though I can see like 1,000,000 places to add more french knots, I think it's perfect as is.

Challenge Entry!

I have finished my french knot hoopla!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin

Oh my holy heck, it took me forever. It was a WIP from 2012 and I have FINALLY marked it off my to do list. When I started, I didn't realize how many hours were doing to have to go into it.

Now I will let my fingertips heal and maybe crochet or sew something...  Wink

What it looked like at the beginning of 2013:

I can post my table runner!

I made it for PerfectlyBohemian in the Make a Friend swap. It is a crocheted lace snowflake table runner. It's about 24" (61cm) and is made up of 34 snowflakes. Each snow flake took me about 15 to 20 minutes and I was so afraid I wasn't going to finish it in time for the swap deadline!

I really love it and I have about 4 practice snowflakes that I don't want to unravel, so I may make them into ornaments. Wink

I received from PerfectlyBohemian!

First, let me say that I had so much fun getting to know her. Secondly, I feel like the third package I made for her isn't near as awesome as what she made for me.

She sent the cutest erasers ever. And a mindbogglingly perfect purse. I am still staring at it. I am so jealous of her sewing capabilities!

It is so amazing. It has a front pocket, a back pocket, and an inside pocket! It is roomy and is so sturdy! I love it.

If that wasn't enough...

She made my daughters reversible capes!

They have worn them everywhere!

To the comic book store for their grand opening. (Which led to the store employees wanting to take pictures of them).

Thank you so much Jessica. I feel like what I made you pales in comparison. I hope you love it as much as I love what you made me.

This was an awesome swap. Smiley

I made myself a sweater guard out of some clip on earrings and chain. (Does that count as odd materials?)

It keeps slipping, so I may need to modify it... maybe fuzzy velcro or something on the back to help keep it in place... hmm...

I also finished a table runner. I just want to wait for it to be received... Wink

I received a solar system card from SenatorOrgana today. It is my first movable card. It is Luna!

I thought I had posted this awesome rainbow card, but I can't find it. I received it from beautiful soul a few days ago. My girls are mystified by it!

I am getting worried about the ones I sent. I hope they arrive soon!

I feel like I have been gone forever too!

Never thought that starting a new job with different hours would be so exhausting.  Tongue

I made three mini amigurumi weeping angels this month.

(picture to come)

This past week on my lunch breaks, I made this:

He is now a hanging ornament, but my phone isn't connecting to the wifi at work right now, so I can't upload the picture... grrrrr.

Then I turned these:

into this:

APPLE BUTTER!!! nom nom nom nom

For the Hoopla-a-long for August, the theme was '10'. (As you all know it's craftster's 10 yr anniversary this month.)  So I here is my hoopla.

My 10 year anniversary is this year too! Cheesy

I know I've made more things... but it's been tough having access to my sewing machine lately. My seven year old daughter has been kinda hogging it! Cheesy (She has made herself a rice bag, two stuffies, which she shared with her little sissy and an eyeglasses case for me!)

I also made my very first grown up dress for me!!

It's my favorite peachy/orange color and I LOVE it!

Then I finally got around to finishing a WIP from last year.

This is Autumn's.

And below is Winter's:

And they complete the set that I started last year!
