I love these! I definitely plan to make a pair for myself.
I'm curious to see how the back seam of yours looks. I'm thinking of doing a corset-type effect with mine because I have weird calves and I'm not sure they'll fit otherwise.

Thanks so much! I can't wait to get started on one!  Grin

This is absolutely adorable! I would love to see the pattern for this. I have a friend who is having a baby soon and would go crazy for one of these.

That's a good idea. =) Now the gears in my head are turning and maybe I'll have something finished before too long.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help! I've got the wrong yarn! on: April 16, 2012 04:24:35 PM
Okay, so it's been a stressful month for me. I've been crocheting prom garters for the local high school's senior prom. During one of the more hectic moments of this endeavor, I sent my mother to pick up some more of the yarn I needed. ( size 10 crochet cotton) Alas, my mother does not take her crochet as seriously as I do,and thought that the nylon size 18 was similar enough. I had to go out and get the right yarn myself, and the store refused to take back the other yarn, even though it was still in its packaging. Now I have 2 balls of black size 18 crochet nylon that I have no idea what to do with. I can't find a pattern that calls for it, I can't think of anything I would use it for, and it's taking up space. I really need to do something with it. Any suggestions? Links to patterns would be greatly appreciated!

I've never thought to do it that way. Let me know how it works out! =)

That's really cute! I remember my first few projects (they didn't turn out so great). As far as increasing from the middle of a finished piece, I'm not sure you can do that. The easiest thing to do would be to take out the trim on one end.

This is a gorgeous dress. It looks amazing. I honestly wish I had the patience to make a project that large.

For the most part I followed the Seraphina shawl pattern, But after a certain point I improvised to get a more lacy, frilly effect on the edges.

I wish I had the patience to make that many little squares.  Undecided
I love your color choice! The black border really makes the colors pop.
