1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Painting walls on: January 04, 2007 04:47:44 PM
Is it a bad idea to use acrylic or other paints not made for walls on walls?? I want to paint some stencils and was wondering if I could get away with using craft paints.

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / What can organizers do about lousy swap items/disappointed swappers? on: June 16, 2006 03:51:14 AM
I know swap ettiquete is a hot topic.  I was wondering what options swap organizers have to deal with this.  In the first swap I organized I had two people who were moderately unhappy about the quality of the items received.  In both cases the swappers decided to not push the issue and chalk it up as a swap learning experience.  I still feel kind of bad, I don't know if I should have done any thing more.  The one case especially, the offending swapper was good in all other aspects of the swap, so she might have tried but is just a beginner crafter.

So my 2 questions:

Do alot of organizers here these kind of complaints?

What can an organizer do about it? Should something be left in the comment section of the swap feedback?

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Stencil for Harry Potter Wizard Rock Band on: May 12, 2006 08:33:10 PM
My friend's son opened up for Harry and the Potters.  A few hours before the show, I decided to make a logo for him so his friends and family could show their support.  My printer is out of ink, so I had to freehand it, but I like how it came out.  The stencil was on freezer paper.  I made like 5 shirts with the same stencil and it is still holding up fine, much to my suprise

He drew this dragon  a while ago and I stencilized it.  I love how this turned out.  Children's arwork is so amazing.

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Gnomey Goodness on: April 15, 2006 10:20:28 PM
ah..I like gnomes. Here are some gnome's I stenciled onto thrift store t's.   For the stencil, I took a photo of a gnome I found online and messed with it in Photoshop until I got this.  Everyone knows about the gnomes that get stolen and  go on vacations, I thought it would be fun to have 'em get some vacation shirts as souveniers.  I am also wondering if people would buy gnomeified  tees if I sold them for like $5 or so on etsy.  I'm not sure if me and my hubby are the only ones who get giddy at the sight of garden gnomes....
