11  DIY Zesty BBQ Sauce in Recipes and Cooking Tips by ommilay on: June 01, 2012 09:53:54 AM
This is the most basic BBQ sauce- you can add to this as you would like (peach marmalade for Georgia ribs, worchestshire sauce and chili powder for southwestern sauce, etc.)

1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp cumin
1tbs mixed garlic/onion powder
salt and pepper to taste

That's it! Take it and run with it!

This is so easy to do once you hear about it.
Just layer in a cupcake pan
*spoonful of chocolate cake batter (just enough to cover the bottom)
*Press an Oreo into the chocolate cake batter
*Cover with white cake batter

bake at 350 for 12-18 minutes
Once cooled, top with chocolate frosting.

BOOM! You have an Oreo within an Oreo!  Enjoy!

13  Empty paper towel rolls in What the heck can I do with THIS? by ommilay on: May 19, 2012 07:59:30 PM
It's a little tough to explain, so check out the picture on the bottom, but you basically cut a paper towel roll down one side, cute into 1/2 inch strips, and then spray paint them white.

Next, you use some cute paper to make the letters in your name (or kids name) and then use needle and thread to string the letters, and then knot them at the end of a wide ribbon. Cute wall hanging!

14  Awesome! Up-cycled DIY paper towel roll/toilet paper roll craft! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ommilay on: May 19, 2012 01:17:31 PM
You can make a chic vase, just need to tape in a plastic bag inside the roll (once it's been pressed twice to make it boxy) and then tape on some cute paper on the outside!

17  Up-cycled cereal box into a DIY planner- legit in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ommilay on: May 12, 2012 10:24:23 PM
This requires about the time it takes to watch a movie (what I was doing when I made mine- watchin' the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly with my hubby)
and you just need
*cereal box
*blank pages (just print 'em off)
*patterned paper
*needle and thread
*clear masking tape

The pics on the link show step by step so it helps a little- but it really turned out cute!

18  super easy 3-ingredient homemade butterfingers in Dessert by ommilay on: May 10, 2012 09:13:50 AM
I couldn't believe how easy these were to make- especially since my hubby's fave is butterfinger- just candy corn, peanut butter, and chocolate. No bake, you just need a microwave. Wink

19  3 Ingredient Fail-proof pumpkin chocolate chip cookies/muffins- they are low fat in Dessert by ommilay on: May 03, 2012 12:40:31 PM
This is truly fail proof, and perfect for little kids. I was so surprised at how easy it was and how well it worked! Just canned pumpkin, spice cake mix, and, of course, chocolate chips! I will never make them any other way. I also used them in muffin tins- worked really well

Surprisingly easy and delicious- these are for my sissy, who thinks I can't make vegan food-

It's all about the RIGHT way to combine guac, the RIGHT tortillas, onions, salsa, and lettuce (green leaf)
