2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / juice pack lot on: July 06, 2012 03:00:00 PM
I have been very busy making and practicing items made of juice packages! I made another purse and 3 tri-fold wallets completely made out of juice packages but I sold the wallets (so I didn't post it) and gave the purse away. The wallet had a clear ID pocket along with, billfold, two credit card holders, and coin pouch. So here are a few things! :3

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Camp Art! on: July 06, 2012 02:10:11 PM
I have been going to the Museum of art in down town Fort Lauderdale (http://www.moafl.org/). I went with my best friend Hayley to apply for a scholarship for the camp (because its like $500 for 2 weeks) last month. We both went in a huge room with 50 other boys and girls in our age group and drew for 2 hours. We both received a 50% percent off scholarship from the still life we drew that day. So we both went to the 2nd session of art camp (two weeks) together. These are a few pieces I drew!

This was a project for color theory:

I am also proud to tell you at the end of the summer the camp takes a few select pieces from each session and has a show with the pieces in it. All of the art above was taken except for my color theory project :3
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pop Tab bracelets on: July 06, 2012 01:56:39 PM
I have been busy making these for friends and just trying out new techniques. The separate pop tabs i painted with some extra nail polish! It sticks really well compared to sharpie, acrylic paint, or spray paint.

I made this one with pink ribbon while the rest were made with gimp:

With this specific bracelet I came up with the gimp twisting, or whatever you want to call it, for putting it together. The others I found on YouTube.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / are you done drinking that? on: May 06, 2012 09:01:46 AM
Well I decided to get a little crafty when recycling. So when my friends were done drinking out of the juice packs I went around a collected the empty packs. I cleaned them inside and out very thoroughly and sewed them together without a pattern. I saw a women on YouTube with one but I couldn't find a tutorial or anything. This is my first time doing any kind of bag...and I pretty much winged it. So here is what I came up with! I hope you like it!

I used Velcro Cheesy

the inside has no liner and is just the back of the packs you can sort of see the hand stitched handle

the handle is also made of juice packs

the bag and the coin purse together. I have also posted the pouch on craftster Cheesy

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Inspiration help? on: March 30, 2012 07:20:32 PM

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My two loves on: March 30, 2012 02:01:40 PM
I learned how to surf over spring break! Grin
My P.E. teacher (Ms. Schorn) taught me with a few of my other friends from school.
I knew I had to make her something because she helped me find a surfboard. Plus she went out surfing with me privately. So this is what I came up with:

It was hard to give it away because I love the result, but I gave it to her today and she flipped!  Smiley

Just for fun this is my new love Grin:

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Dream Catcher tutorial on: March 30, 2012 01:46:09 PM

Hi! I decided I wanted to make a tutorial on how to make these because no one has a clue  on how to make dream catchers. It is really fun and easy to make. Plus it uses ordinary objects you find around the house.

I made mine a key chain but you can just put some nice chain or whatever you like to make it a necklace. I do recommend that If you do make a key chain it is strong because it may break. Enjoy!

1 any size key ring
1 clip or chain for necklace
embroidery floss
1 sheet of shiny paper
3 shells with holes
6 beads (instead of paper and shells)

1. Cut a long peice of embroidery floss and tie is to key ring

2. wrap floss around the key ring until all the way around and tie a knot

3. Tie a second piece of floss next to extra floss

4.Take the floss, put the strand over than under and up through the hole. pull tight

5. Do this all the way around until you reach your starting point

6. Repeat step 4 but instead of doing it on the key ring, do it on the floss. Pull tight

7. Repeat step 6 untill you run out of room. It should sorta look like this:

8.Take the string popping through the center and pull it through a bottom hole. Pull tight

9.Tie that string next to the others and make a knot.

10.Take paper and cut out leafs. Put a hole through them.

11. Tie a piece of floss at bottom

12. Put Paper leafs or beads onto strands and tie a double knot

13. continue putting things on strands until you are happy with the result

14. tie the lose strands at top to clip and burn the ends (if you want to). Or for a necklace attach hoop or tie on string.

I hope you liked this tutorial and hope it helps! I have made necklaces for gifts and people love em'!
I made a lot of these before and had practice. So If you can't get it at first, get the inside of an embroider hoop and practice on it.
