2  Some recent (ish) makes! :) [Hats and Coasters] in Crochet: Completed Projects by soddinL on: April 27, 2013 02:49:13 PM
Love this hat! So many people have been making character hats I thought I'd give it a go myself. I think this little girl turned out pretty cute! Miss mouse, newborn hat Smiley

Another hat in one of my favourite wools, rainbow variegated! Been a little obsessed with it recently Smiley This one's an adult sized hat.

Some more of the rainbow vari! This time heart shaped coasters Smiley

C&C very welcome! Thanks muchly xx

3  Ooo Shiny! Onto the Christmassy stuff already! in Crochet: Completed Projects by soddinL on: September 25, 2012 04:01:01 PM

Here's a few of the bits and pieces I've been making for the past few weeks!

The lot!

The Stars!

The Hearts!

The Snowflakes!

They're crocheted around little rings i found at the haberdashery, i think they're something to do with curtains?! I'd been looking for something exactly like them to make earrings but as it's only a few weeks til Xmas I thought I'd better get started on the Xmas fun!

The thread is Anchor Artiste metallic by coatscrafts, I've finally got some green now as well Cheesy

The stars and hearts are about 3", the snowflakes are bigger as i needed to do 2 rounds at 4.5"
Each one seems to take about an hour to make  Undecided Which is ridiculous but never mind! They're pretty!

And I knocked this up today!

It looks quite small, but it's 5ft long! My height! ha!
Each heart takes about 20 minutes to make Smiley

Hope you've Enjoyed! C&C very welcome! x

4  The Fruit Salad Cowl and other Wintery goodies! in Crochet: Completed Projects by soddinL on: September 17, 2012 09:32:47 AM
Today I started this cowl and a little way through I was trying to figure out what the colour combination reminded me of. In the end I realised it was a colour combination from my childhood; the Fruit Salad penny sweet! I'm not sure if this is just a British sweet but I remember them fondly and so, I named the cowl after the sweety I loved so much back in the day  Grin

The 'Granny' scarf and hat I made recently

And a little neck warmer I crocheted up quickly a while ago Smiley

Hope you enjoy! xx

6  My First Post! And very belated Xmas pressies in Crochet: Completed Projects by soddinL on: February 23, 2012 09:00:57 AM
Hallo Smiley

I've been lurking here for a few months, started crafting around October and crocheting in December - so I'm pretty new to the crafting world Smiley I only started crafting as I wanted to make some gifts for Xmas as I'm a little bit (a lot) strapped for cash. Some of my family lives across the country and I'm finally going up to see them 'for Xmas' at the end of the month and I've just finised making their pressies - so I thought I'd show them off here...

Scallop bracelet with vintage button

And another

And a scallop necklace with vintage button

Scarf/necklace with detachable flower brooch - may have stolen this idea from another poster https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=398149.0

Twisted necklace - another idea pilfered from another member https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=350480.0

C&C VERY welcome, thanks! Smiley
