5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: are you a good uterus or a bad uterus? on: July 04, 2005 09:45:02 PM
Well, Mommie Dearest painted Joan Crawford as a crazy mean b!tch, as if her uterus was always a "bad uterus." Plus, her insane behavior came to a pinicle when she woke her daughter up in the middle of the night to have her scrub the grout in the bathroom and scream at her "NO WIRE HANGERS!" Anyway, it's the most memorable scene for me and it's what I immediately thought of when I saw the Bad Uterus Smiley

oh yeah i've heard of that! hah, that's funny. maybe mommie dearest was on to something...

The Mommie Dearest reference made me laugh out loud!

It's actually a pro-choice reference ... when abortion was illegal, some women resorted to having dangerous back-alley procedures done with coat hangers.

yeah i was kind of confused as to how i made a mommy dearest reference.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / are you a good uterus or a bad uterus? on: July 02, 2005 02:29:34 PM
on the day of finishing knitty's womb, i  got my period, along with the cramps from hell. i wondered what i did to make my uterus so angry with me, when it occured to me that maybe, she was just having a bad day.  so, in honor of this revelation, i gave my womb(the knitted one) two mood options.

or angry

she has activist tendencies...
