Knitters are crazy.

This post showed up on three of my daily blogs today. THREE!

http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2008/02/knitted_gas_mask.html?CMP=OTC-5JF307375954

Of course, they all do sort of feed off of each other, but it just shows how ass-kicking this project is.

haha i was just about to link the post on geekologie, but you beat me to it Wink

what about red and white or green and white gingham?  that would be really cute and slightly retro to go with those shoes Smiley

26  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / lovebot of substandard quality. on: February 13, 2008 01:24:46 PM
i started this project while sitting at work waiting for a meeting and i'm not really that happy with it.  granted i'm using one tea towel to hone my skills and am embroidering random things on it, but still....this one could have been better.  i drew it myself, and while the drawing is cute, i realized after embroidering it that some of the lines were too close together and some of the lines were wonky.  now i know better for next time Smiley  sorry for the dark picture everyone Smiley

30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / mmmmm. sweet cupcake! on: January 29, 2008 08:27:23 PM
so a loooong time ago i tried embroidering something, but didn't really know what i was doing and i gave it up as a lost craft (i was obsessed with knitting anyway hehe).  but recently i've been seeing some cute embroidered things, and it piqued my interest again.  so i went out and purchased a book and the stitch it kit by jenny hart and tried again Smiley  this is what became of it:

i drew it myself!  i'm quite proud and have since downloaded a lot of vintage patterns for future stitching Cheesy
