11  Harry Potter Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amapoet on: March 10, 2013 07:22:40 PM
Finished this a couple days ago, it took me only 2 days to complete! But I think it's quite simple in front of some things that people ask me to do. He measures 8.6 inches Smiley

I loved to make him since I'm a big fan of Harry Potter series, book and movies! I put green eyes because in the book his eyes are green, though in the movie they are blue. I was really concerned about the glasses because I didn't want to make with wire, but I think it turned out nice.

Also I was concerned about the hair, because if it didn't turn out nice it wouldn't be Harry Potter! I chose to make the hair with felt, with a simple technic: cutting lots of pieces and glue then on head one by one. The results are great! Grin

So, here are a few more pictures:

Yes, his cape is removable! It's the first time that I made it and it really looks cool. My first try was horrible.

That's it, hope you like!

12  Scizor! Pokemon :D in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amapoet on: March 03, 2013 06:44:17 PM
I made a scyther for my boyfriend last year, so, I decided to make a scizor too and I finished it a few days ago.
It's 12.5 inches and took me about 4 days to finished it, because it looks a little like scyther, so I just made almost the same body and a few changes on the rest Smiley

I put wood cylinders inside the legs, so it can stand alone Smiley
I wished I had some wire to put inside the arms / claws and make it posable, but I really wanted to finish it soon so, maybe next time Grin

And finally, here's it side by side with scyther Smiley

Thanks for Looking!  Grin

14  Little Sleepy Cats in Love (Free Pattern!) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amapoet on: February 14, 2013 02:48:55 PM
Edit
I almost forgot! I made a free pattern for the little heart, you can download it at the end of the post, enjoy Cheesy
/Edit

Hello! For this Valentine's Day I made this two little cats with a little heart Cheesy
The little cats measures 10cm long x 5cm tall. (3.9 inches long x 1.9 inches tall). And the little heart is 3cm tall x 3.5cm long. (1.1 inches tall x 1.3 inches long).
I'm in love with them *-* I love cats, but I can't have one because my brother already have a dog and his dog is not that friendly. But I still can show my love with amigurumis Smiley

One picture in my hand so you can see the size:

15  Frog/Glenn (Chrono Trigger) amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amapoet on: February 05, 2013 06:50:32 PM

This is Frog, from the Super Nintendo game "Chrono Trigger". When I was starting to learn how to crochet, I planned to make amigurumis from this game, but I got too busy and only now (after a year) I initiated it. Frog is one of my favorites, his story is about honor, loyalty and revenge against Magus(or forgiveness if you choose so)!
Actually, I think that it's gonna take a long time for me to make the others because this one gave me a lot of work Grin. It took me about 10 days to finish it.

The head was the most difficult part, I still don't know how I could do that  Cheesy
Just when I finished to sew the eyes and embroider the strips that I knew how it would really be.

He stands on his feet all alone, I made the shoes first thinking about it. He's about 30cm (11.8 inches) tall.
This is also the first project designed by me that had no felt or plastic (I normally use that for eyes), I embroidered the eyes this time!

The shield and sword are removable and you can play with it because in his fingers there are wires making them totally posable.
The cape is also removable, despite it's a little bit difficult to do that.
I also put wire inside his arms.

Here is the picture that I used to make my amigurumi and for those who don't know the game:

It was a difficult project, but I had a lot of fun making him!
I hope you enjoy the pictures Smiley

I was wanting to make one case for my 3DS and I'm a huge fan of The legend of Zelda. So I just took it as inspiration. I made it with a 2mm hook and all the details are felt. Also I put a tiny button where I keep the game cards Cheesy

I really loved how it came out Smiley

Thank you for looking Wink

17  Pokemons! :D in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by amapoet on: December 26, 2012 06:37:57 PM
Here are some pokemons that I made this year, which was, by the way, the year that I started doing crochet! Some are my own designs, others not. All the pictures are from different parts of the year, so it's a little mess xD

Scyther, marill and pidgeot I made from my own patterns, and the others I found for free or bought.

Scyther was a gift for my boyfriend, I'm very proud of him 'cause I was really scared from making him, but it worked well at the end!

I saw one pidgeot amigurumi at deviantart and I took it as inspiration, but I changed some things in my design like the eyes and the wings.

Marill is really tiny and fits in the palm of your hand, I made also azurill, but I think that it don't came out so good so I won't post it yet. I also pretend to make a tiny azumarill in the future (:

Pikachu was a really great pattern and I bought it on esty. I think it came out really cute!

I always take notes when doing amigurumi, but I'm such a lazy when I have to make a good pattern, so I don't have none pattern ready yet. Maybe in the future Cheesy

Thank you for looking! Cheesy

There wasn't any pattern or even amigurumi of him, so I made the pattern , which was a challenge to me. But I'm really proud with the result!

I used wire in it, so you can move his arms and it stay the way you want!

He measures 5.9'' tall. The most difficult part was to make all the face details.

Thanks for looking! Wink
