I love these - you can go really funky or fairly classy, depending on what you choose.

Nice job!  That is so much fun!

so, being the coolest lil sister i am
Does anyone else think this may have more to do with "being the hot, buff friend of the older brother?"  Wink, wink. Wink Because that is totally the reason I would have done this for some guy when I was younger!

That red S on the green background would make a killer business card background!

Mostly I am drawn to stuff that doesn't clutter my house (or that is useful) and that will remind me later who you are and why I liked your stuff when I saw it.

Hope that helps even a little.... Tongue
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Brooch collector needs organizer on: July 21, 2005 06:50:33 AM
My mom has her collection of antique brooches pinned to a wall hanging quilt in her bedroom.  It looks good and it was a pretty simple quilt, so it jazzes it up a little.

Could you post a picture of what is happening - I don't remember anything like that but it could just be my memory...

Okay so I have ordered the needles off Ebay and they should be here any day.
I decided to see if I could start any of it..as I knew the beads had to be put on the thread.  Well i got the beads put on the thread and it says to transfer them to the cotton.  I'm lost at this point.  I'm not sure how they mean.  Any help would be appreciated.

The easiest way to get the beads on the pearl cotton is to use a beading needle and simple string them.  If you have already strung them on thread, you can simply hold the thread taught and run the beading needle up the beads on the thread and transfer them over.  The directions say to tie the thread and the cotton together and transfer them, but I didn't have big enough bead holes to get them over the knot.  If your bead holes are big enough, that would be a simple method! I got them at my LYS.  You may have to ask - but they come in a package of 4 and mine were in a different place because they are so small.

I'd love to see pictures of yours when you are done!
