3  Embroidered Quilt that took FOREVER! in Quilting: Completed Projects by iqjones on: July 28, 2008 03:52:31 PM
So, I made this for my Uncle's baby. I started it when his wife was beginning 3rd trimester, finished when kid was about 3 months old. I didn't think I had the patience... Each square embroidered--used some Sublime Stitching patterns (love Jenny Hart), some random, the elephant & pig are from a book. I really hope that someone appreciates it!

Woo hoo!
I got home from a really awful day yesterday to find my package from IqJones!  It's awesome!
No pictures yet, my camera is out of battery and I can't find the charger, but a list:
A fantastic shirt with an Indy sillhouette on it and the words ""Fortune & Glory, Kid, Fortune & Glory."  I am wearing this RIGHT NOW.
A small purse with a zipper and pockets and hats painted on it.
A velcro pouch witha patch on it that says "Nothing shocks me.  I'm a scientist."
A day planner with bonus grail diary in the back!
Thank you so much!
So happy you like!
I have a bad picture that shows the nightshirt & a side of the purse.
No pictures of the grail diary, though:(

THANK YOU Reethi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She made me a tote bag w/teapot appliques, a crazy apron, an adorable teapot magnet, an awesome wire-tea picture frame, a little teapot pincushion & she included teas from China!!!
Also, a card with a picture I think is the Forbidden City.
Everything is outstanding.

I am one LUCKY, lucky girl:)
This is the outstanding package I received from the great Adridne!

There's an adventure bag, postcards, magnets (shown on the bag), and an amazing hand-painted mug!
I think the Hat on the mug is my favorite.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s., I am still laughing about the "Fragile. 'It must be Italian.'"

7  Re: decorate my walls Swap in The Swap Gallery by iqjones on: July 10, 2006 09:17:07 AM
Thanks for all the nice things y'all have said about my painting--I am blushing!

Today I received the coolest envelope ever-- it is all bright & stripey.
Inside, the painting from Mommiemed. It is of a barn her parents' have.
Here is a picture of it (on a bookcase shelf):

Thank you, Mommiemed!

Here's the picture I sent to Mommiemed. DC# shows that she received quite awhile ago, but I have not heard anything...
Well, I enjoyed myself! Painting is 8 x 10 inches, acrylic on paintboard. She said she liked landscapes.

9  B-A-B-Y quilt in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by iqjones on: June 27, 2006 02:58:59 PM
My cousin's wife is having a lil'un soon. I made a quilt as my gift.
I got the most amazing fabric from Z&S fabrics (http://zandsfabrics.com , Z&S is a Craftster sponsor and great crafter).
All of the non-amazing fabric is stuff I had around.

Have I done well?
I am a bit fond of it, but mostly because of the animal-alphabet (the elephant with earmuffs, the alligator in argyle with apples...)

10  Re: Sea Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by iqjones on: June 15, 2006 09:26:34 AM
I received today from the innovative LHACKETT!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a picture of the goodness, the 2nd one is intended to be a close-up of the magnetic poetry tin (open):

There's the magnetic poetry tin, a shell picture frame, an awesome pirate journal (great job, I love the mix of page-types), 2 boxes of miniature shell-stationairy (where did you find?), and sea-worthy fabric.
I have some of the fabric!!! I bought some, got it home, and wished I had more-- I DO NOW!!!!
 Thanks, LHackett.
p.s. Is it possible to post pictures of what I sent to you?
