Hey everyone, I'm moving out and into a shared dorm room in several weeks. My room now is so dull, so I'm looking for some decorating inspiration. Any tips, suggestions, personal creations, photos, sites... whatever Smiley All will be appreciated!

Image found that best represents the layout of the dorm I'll be in:

Thanks in advance!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Favorite Jewelry Supplies Sites? on: July 25, 2010 02:56:39 AM
Hey everyone, I wanted to find some good sites for purchasing jewelry supplies. I have come across some that seem pretty nice, but I want to skip any duds and get to the good stuff! Smiley

So what are you favorite websites for buying supplies online?
Why? (Price, quality or maybe the selection?)

Thank you!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Where to find good free stock photos?? on: July 13, 2010 12:42:04 AM
Looking to make a graphic and need several different photos to complete it.

Does anyone know where I can find good, free photos? I can find decent things on Google Images, but this is for my craft business so I want it to be legit.

Thank you!
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / HELP I want to quit shampoo! sulfate-free or baking soda concoctions or...? on: June 27, 2010 03:43:07 PM
A lot of you understand all this hygiene stuff, and I've been hearing a lot about people giving up commercial shampoos. I have thick, crazy hair. If I go three days without washing it, it falls into beautiful tame wavy curls... but washing it FIzZeS it and by the time it looks good, it's greasy at the roots and I've got to wash (and therefore fizz) my whole mane.

I have heard a lot about sulfate-free shampoos, baby shampoos or using a baking soda mixture.
What works, cleans hair without stripping all the oils completely? Links, products, recipes, techniques... whatever! I don't understand how hair or oils work so any information would be helpful.

Thank you! Smiley
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Most beautiful necklace I've ever made :) on: June 24, 2010 03:36:51 PM
Took several trips to the bead store and supplies gathered over time, from all over. I'm really happy it turned out just as I envisioned. Let me know what you think--and be honest, I can handle it!

Charms all have some relevance to the word 'Journey'.

Thank you for looking!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Help! Great pendant, no inspiration! on: May 24, 2010 08:43:36 PM
I'm clueless what to do with this wooden pendant I picked up at a bead fair a whopping NINE months ago! I love it, and would like to do something with an earthy feel, but I've never been able come up with anything for this one.

Do you have any ideas? I'd really appreciate them! Feel free to post photos too Smiley

(Measures 1 & 3/4 inches, top to bottom)

Thanks in advance!

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / gift for boyfriend - horrible summer on: August 26, 2007 08:51:04 PM
hey, my boyfriend has had a horrible summer and a horrible week, his dog died, he spent hundreds on his car and just trust me, a lot more. i made him a picture frame for his dog, but i'd really like do make/do something nice for him since he's been pretty down. i want it to be less "sorry your summer sucked" and more "yay fun!".

none of these are required but if they help with any idea formation here are some things he's into:
traveling & nature
marvel comics
the locust
class starts for us tomorrow

Thank you guys!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / HELP! Very big Thank You gift on: January 15, 2007 09:51:07 PM
My edlest half sister and her family just got an unexpected $3000 tax cut/break/refund and chose to give it all towards fixing my teeth (I'm only 18, my four front upper teeth were literally rotting away) i had already started the multiple appointment treatment, my parents had borrowed exactly $3000 from my grandma to do so. my family is not well off finacially, so i can't begin to express how much that $3000 meant.

i can't even articulate how it feels to have people care so much.

i would like to give her a big smiling picture when everything's done (with a nasty before picture hidden on the back of the frame) but that doesn't feel nearly enough. i have no idea what to do. maybe have a party for them when it's all done? Any and all ideas appreciated.

thanks in advance!
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Jewelry CLASPS? adding them on and all on: July 15, 2006 08:38:40 PM
i love making jewelry but my methods of attaching clasps and stuff is really lame.

I get all the beads on a sting, and when it comes time to attach the claps, all i do it pull the string through the ring at the end and tie a few knots, i've had jewelry fall appart and all sorts of things Sad

My sister gave me a great collection os beads, wire, claps and all that like a year ago so i have all sorts of different things if there are tools or material that would help me out.
