20  Re: Funky Coloured Plastic Name Necklace & Star Charm *Now with Tutorial!* in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Pink_Dinosaur on: November 17, 2005 12:24:00 AM
You did great. Have fun with them but what is a shrinky dink baker? does it look like the easy bake oven or something?

a shrinky dink baker is kinda like the easy bake oven. it comes with a tray that you put your shrinky dink on and you slide it into the oven. it has a window at the top so you can watch it shrink. when its done shrinking you push it thru to the next chamber where it cools off. it has a little timer on the side that once you set you cant open the door to take the shrinky dink out until the timer is done. its a way to prevent yourself from getting burnt i guess.

i think the best to try is the shrinky dinks Ink Jet printer paper. you can get any image you want off your computer and print it out onto a shrinky dink. I just ordered a set from shrinkydinks.com from the SPECTACULAR SAVINGS - LIMITED QUANTITIES section. For $14.00 I got 12 - 8" x 10" sheets of Shrinky Dinks Ink Jet plastic, 12 Stand-Up Bases, 12 Key Chains, 1 strip of self adhesive magnet and a bottle of Shrinky Dinks Image Coating. or you could buy just  6 - 8" x 10" sheets for $8.50. I personally thought the $14.00 set was a better deal. also when i recieved it, the bases, keychains, magnet strip and coating were sealed together in a bag and the coating had spilled. all the supplies were covered in coating (except the paper) and everything smelled like nailpolish. So i emailed them and told them what happened, and they send me a whole new kit. So i got an extra 12 sheets!!!
