21  a hobo bag and yet 2 more zippered pouches! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: February 10, 2009 10:28:46 AM
i finally got around to making the hobo bag i wanted to make https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125025.0. i'm not 100% happy with it, only because my straps are a little wonky. i think when i got towards the body, it slipped and they go a little uneven. and i'm still not 100% sure i like the yellow lining, but it's ok.

and the following two are my favorite zipper pouches i've made. i love the blue one and i love the buttons on it.  the white one(and the lining) is made from two fabric napkins i got at target.

22  another zippered pouch-in lucky cat!, and a backpack revamp in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: February 07, 2009 05:56:42 PM
so i've been busy again. it's nice to have time!

when my daughter saw the zipper pouch i made, she gave me some pieces from a hoodie she took apart to do a revamp with (she's going to sew stripes on another shirt, i'll post pics when she's done), and asked me to make one.

it's a little off, because the material is stretchy, but it's cute. she picked out a good lining, too.

the other thing i did was take this drawstring backpack i made her 2 yrs ago http://www.maxthedork.com/jellybellygirl/sewing/katiebag1.jpg and turned it into a sleeve for her colored pencils for art class.

and yes, we kept the pocky pocket... however off centered i made it lol

23  my first quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by jellybellygirl on: February 06, 2009 01:39:29 PM
this is the first quilt i've ever made. it's nothing awesome, but my son loves it. Smiley

a lot of the squares don't line up, and my son helped pick out some of the fabric, but we used his old mario t-shirts, too.

24  snap wallet and zippered pouches in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: February 06, 2009 11:00:49 AM
wow, it feels like forever since i posted here!

i love all the tutorials on here, and i've been crafting up a storm, but mostly bible covers and totebags for friends.  today, i began a project for myself. i got 3 of my 4 pieces done, too! yay!

so here we have 2 zippered pouches(thanks https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0, and 1 snap wallet (thanks https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187229.0)

the one on the right was the first zipper pouch i made. i wanted it to be a coin purse, but wow, too big for that! i must have done something wrong there Wink  but i did want a make up bag, so there we go!  the one on the left is my coin purse after i did it again... i am happy with those.
the middle is my snap wallet, which i was so afraid of the snaps!  i did crack the pearly part, too, but oh well. it's still in one piece and i love it.  here is a closer pic of the wallet, so you can see the lining fabric of everything.

i would start the bag(probably this one https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125025.0 today to hold these beauties, but i have to get ready to go out... hubby's taking me to rent and nothing will keep me from missing that! not even sewing lol

25  jammie pants! in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by jellybellygirl on: February 17, 2008 10:51:51 AM
one night, the night of the state of the union address, i decided to finally attempt http://theghettoquilter.blogspot.com/2007/09/sick-girl-cozy-aka-pajama-pants.html that tutorial to make pajama pants.  now, it's really easy, and see? i have adorable jammies i didn't have to spend $30-40 at the mall because walmart, target, or k-mart didn't have cute jammies in my size.

26  another tote bag from me! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: July 09, 2007 03:03:48 PM
i made myself a totebag. i'd been wanting to do this for our trip because i found some cute fabric. i also had a bunch of that pink left from the poodle skirt i made my mother in law and i knew that would make a good liner. i love how this turned out, too, and the little strip of pink at the top. and i'm posting both sides of the bag because you can see the cool fabric. you can see stonehenge, and big ben, too... i love this fabric! and i used a heavy interfacing on it to give it a lot of stability.  it's going to be HEAVILY used in the next couple weeks (hubby and i are going on a 2 week cross country adventure)....

27  my jeans to skirt recon.... in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by jellybellygirl on: July 07, 2007 12:33:02 PM
when i started putting this together, i used a tutorial where you split it up to the zipper and up in the back and i put it together. i hated the way it stuck out in the front and back.  for some reason, i couldn't adjust it to lay right at all.

so i did it a little different.

i may make another one. i love how this turned out.

28  poodle skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: June 15, 2007 04:46:02 PM
i am so happy right now.  my mother in law gave me a sewing pattern, which i wanted for a decoupage project and she said i could have it if i made her a poodle skirt from it.  well, to be honest, i'm not a pattern follower... yet.

i followed this tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=12439.0 for a circle skirt and added a poodle applique.  i am happy to say it turned out and my mother in law loved it... though she didn't try it on so i couldn't get a photo of her in it, but i did get one of the skirt before i gave it to her.

i've been rather busy making bags and pouches for everyone but my stepson!  i found this awesome mario fabric on ebay and had to get it for him... i decided to just make a simple tote bag for when we go on trips and such... and he is going to love it!

30  pleated bag, drawstring bag, little wallet, &pouch for inst. pedal (img heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jellybellygirl on: June 11, 2007 01:51:12 PM
not great, but it turned out cute and holds what i need. it was a last minute, no planning thing. there is an elastic strap that holds it closed.

this is a pouch i made for my husbands guitar pedal. he told me he was tired of carrying the box to gigs and asked if i could. it turned out good and also uses an elastic strap to hold it closed.

here is a drawstring backpack i made based similary to a fat quarter backpack. i love the floral print and the blue lining, it seems to bring out the blue in the fabric.

and here is what i am most proud of.  i used this tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=149376.0. it was pretty easy and i am so in love with the colors. it seems lately i have a thing for pink because i use a lot of pink... lol
