11  Flowers, Flowers, Flowers (Or, can't wait for spring) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by zitrone21 on: February 22, 2006 10:55:09 AM
Okay, so I really just rediscovered this funky little flower loom an aunt gave me a couple years ago and decided to do some stashbusting and make some pins.

Awwww, your ephelump is so cute.  I like pink ephelumps in general, as you can see:

13  Re: Paisley Necktie Schoolbag - NOW WITH TUTORIAL in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by zitrone21 on: December 16, 2005 02:35:50 PM
I actually finished mine a couple months ago, but just haven't gotten around to taking a picture until this afternoon.  I only used 3 ties front and back for a more manageable size.

And I put two pockets on the inside, but I put them a little high.  Oh, well. Live and learn.

Eek.  My purse looks so messy inside.  Good thing most people don't see it like that all the time!

I also made my sister the larger 5-tie size bag as a Christmas gift, but I wrapped it before I thought to take pictures, so if I remember to, I'll post it after the holidays.  She loved my purse when i showed it to her, so she should like her present.

14  Templeton Turkey in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by zitrone21 on: December 16, 2005 10:51:35 AM
Eeee! I'm so proud of myself--I made a turkey that looks like a turkey completely without a pattern.  So, in other words, I probably couldn't write up a pattern if I tried.  I just winged it as I went along (no pun intended).

Anyway, here he is, photographed just in time for Etsy's competition.

Ain't he cute?

15  I made a bowl out of paper beads in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by zitrone21 on: October 31, 2005 02:31:40 PM
I don't know what possessed me to do this--it took FOREVER.

16  Journal with crocheted cover in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by zitrone21 on: October 31, 2005 02:28:00 PM
I'm not sure whether this is more appropriate here or in crochet, but it's more book than crochet, so--Anyway.  I was making this crochet square for no apparent reason, but partway through I decided to leave it as a rectangle and use it as a cover for a blank book.  I like how it came out.

17  Credit cards as blank books? in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by zitrone21 on: October 30, 2005 06:48:07 AM
I've been hoarding all those fake credit cards that keep coming in the mail for months now with nothing definite in mind to make from them.  I hadn't made any books in a while, so I figured, why not make teensy little notebooks?

With pink and purple paper, no less

18  Diva Frog Amigurumi (and a lion and ephelump) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by zitrone21 on: October 30, 2005 06:41:31 AM
I went a little crazy making these animals a couple weeks ago.  The lion and elephant came out nicely, but I didn't really like the frog.  When I sewed the eyes on, the ends of the threads looked like eyelashes, so I went from there and, uh, embellished her a bit.

Mr Lion.  I didn't have any fur type yarn, so I used some of my Target fringe yarn for his mane.  I rather like how it came out.

Mr. Ephelump.  Elephants should be fatter than lions and frogs, so I expanded his body a bit to make him more rotund.

And Ms. Diva Frog.  Her dress is knit from a purple boucle yarn I had left over from a hat for my sister, her jewelry is dollar store beads, and I just sort of winged her hat.  Ain't she purty?

Can you believe my husband just rolled his eyes at me?  Grin

19  Re: Making your own halloween costume-along.. in Halloween Costumes by zitrone21 on: October 11, 2005 11:43:12 AM
I don't really do much for Halloween, but I have a costume I made last summer should I feel the urge to dress up (assuming, of course, that I can lace my corset up tight enough to get into the damned thing).

My parents were just in Colonial Williamsburg this past week and my mom found a pattern of Scarlett's Green Drapes dress from Gone With the Wind that she was going to get me (if it hadn't been $38!!!), but I'm not sure I have it in me to make something else that's quite this involved.

20  Crocheted Necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by zitrone21 on: September 19, 2005 07:49:30 AM
I made this necklace on Saturday night to wear to a cookout at my parents' house yesterday.  I really like how it came out, but I need to stop using 34 gauge wire, I think.  It breaks too easily--as in, the necklace fell off and had to be repaired already (hence the extra wire wrapped around the chain near the clasp. Only one side broke, but I had to keep everything symmetrical).

The necklace: (need to clean my scanner bed--lots of schmutz that shouldn't be there)
